I know u carry calves from another video. There is no reason for the calves to be running around with their mothers. Leave them home in the barn and have one cow feed all of your calves one at a time, Stay away from New Zealanders.

I must say that as a beef farmer & large dairy farmhand.The reason cattle in the dairy industry get sick or come pneumonia is due too poor ventilation and over crowding . Mine&my family's beef cattle are all outdoors all the time unless it is heavy rain/snow have never come down with pneumonia . Most generally they will bed down next the the hay feeder or side of the corral .We just started a vaccination program with them last two years ago. We have been in the the business 15 yrs.

I enjoy watching your videos, We farm in the South central part of the state and have been done for about 2.5 weeks with harvest. We don't get the rain you guys get but I don't envy you guys still combining this late in the year or as cold as it was 1.5 weeks ago!!!

The reason that some people believe that vaccinating is wrong is because they believe that the vaccinations get into the blood stream and if the animal or animals byproducts are consumed by humans that the humans become immune to certain vaccines and it makes our diseases harder to control. Also when hormones are added it affects young people and how they develop. I don't necessarily believe this but this is the argument that I have heard.

Yes I have heard about this, and it is proven that there is no scientific linkage between the use of antibiotics in animal production and antibiotic resistance in humans. And parents worry their daughter has too much estrogen from cows, 4oz of beef from a steer treated with hormones has 1.6 nanograms of estrogen, while 4oz of peas has 454ng and your average soy latte has over 30,000 ng of estrogen, If you here anyone with this concern, please set the facts straight :)

Keep em coming! I am showing your videos to my 5, 3, and 2 year olds. We use to have dairy on our farm. I got out back in 1999. Miss the cows not the extra work. Wish the kids could have expirenced the calves.
