Heartbreaking... I used to tune in Radio Sweden Utlandsprogrammet (Rádio Suécia Internacional, in Portuguese) in the late seventies through the mid eighties, it was among my favorites. Too sad to learn that the transmitters at Hörby have been dismantled. Those people have no hearts.
About 1 year ago, we got the message. Our dear friend was dying. A friend that we´we grown up with, who´s allways been there. It still happens now and then that I tune to 6065 Khz ... Just to find it empty and silent. Still I have to make a stop everytime I´m on my way to Hörby, passing by the antenna sites. The antenna sites now looks like battlefields, cause the last antenna-masts have been knocked down. The heart (the transmitters) will live on in Mosambique, they say... Still I mourn...
Nooooooooo!!! Did they ask if a Radio-Club or so would like to have a used Log-P antenna ? Sheesh. sure they didn't. Great antenna wasted in vain. Ignorant and anachronistic act of destruction. Sad to see. 2011 A.D.
I get it that the Internet is an important new medium, but something makes me think we will still need these transmitters in the future, even if it's just for emergencies.

Stupid to destroy a good antenna. . This is clearly terrorism. What is more beautiful than a big antenna or the antenna tower?

YES , it's a shame ! A lot of radio amateurs would be proud and happy to own a log. per. antenna like this .
But ( like usual ) the people who paid it where not asked ..............
