  • This is the painful to watch. Bring "light" but clearly not the Light of Christ. Our Parish voted to leave the Episcopalians and align with Anglicans, we did loose about 10% of the extreme fringe. There is nothing but hollow ceremony and light platitudes as this message demonstrates in the ECUSA. With 30% of their membership over 65 and NO positive growth for 5 decades... ECUSA will slowly fade away into oblivion.

  • Eh..The Episcopal Church is a CHRISTian church, people! We do not need to insert Jesus' name in every message because it goes without saying that (duh!) we worship CHRIST! People just want to nitpick everything KJS does and says. Why aren't you all out there "spreading the Good News of Jesus" instead of sitting at home on the net dissing our PB? Not very Christlike behavior!

  • What does your church know of Christ-like behavior when you ignore all His teachings? Too bad we're not coming up on the Advent of the end of the ECUSA

  • @50heaven I could not agree more.

  • Hearing the Name of Jesus Christ would have been nice.

A typical social justice, Christless message coming from the number One of the Episcopal Church.

Any March of Dimes or Rotary Club president could have said the same thing.

Come Lord Jesus as we wait for your second Advent. Amen.

  • And they wonder why the Episcopal Church is dying. A clearly hollow message from the top. The hungry we feed today are the hordes of lawyers trying to stop congregations from leaving the national fold over issues just like those represented in this message. The vocal minority, led by this presiding bishop is killing our church.

  • Wake up people! Another Jesusless message, does she even know what advent is truly about? I left the Episcopal church because of this Jesusless trend, hello Jesus is the reason for the season. I am truly saddened by the way the Episcopal Church has become the Unitarian church!

  • Shouldn't those good works mentioned in this message be something we, as Christians, do all year?

  • Maybe just read Matthew 1:21 instead.

"Mary will give birth to a son and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." Now there's an Advent message worth hearing!

  • Nice message on Advent. Would have been better if you mentioned Jesus Christ though....just a thought.
