  • Also, it may be as old as you say, but there is very little explanation about why the mountain was cut the way it was--how it functioned in WW2 as a sentinel point for Tokyo Bay, and about the nuclear test facility beneath the mountain. It's actually a profoundly UN-natural place, with very little data available to the visitor.
