  • 'Why have you "SHOTTEN" Dharavi??'

  • if we dont send good movies to oscar then how can we win? This is not oscar fault. Yahaan filmo k chayan me jo raajniti hoti hai uska khamiyaza to bhugtana hi padega. Kya lagaan k baad hamne ek bhi aisi film bheji hai jo oscar jitne k layak ho, plz tell me.

  • Seriously, I don't even know why this movie is so popular. I'm an Indian living in America, and all of American friends loved this movie...and they all knew how much I hated it. Not because it showed poverty (let's face it, there's more poverty in India than wealth...and gap between rich and poor is HUGE) because it was true. The reason why I didn't like this movie was because "what was so great in it?" We have so many Indian movies that showed exactly what this one showed, then why oscar now?

  • Thumbs UP to Frieda Pinto for whatever she said..!!

    (Y)

  • We carry inferiority complex, when West recognizes our creativity we feel sooo good, saale inferiority complex infested people.

  • Amitabh bachchan is 100% right. Frieda did u see movie "Dhaaravi"? Go and watch! It's original and better than Slumdog. Of course slumdog won the prize because of D Boyel. Otherwise Sudhir mishra should have gotten this prize long time ago.

  • who the fuck is she givin opinions... After all she is just a couple of films old to talk over ass..

  • india has its problems with poverty but dont try and tell me western countries dont. im an indian-australian and am proud to be an australian first and foremost but to claim that we dont have poverty is ridiculous - its not on indias level but the poverty in which our indigenous australians live in is in some cases worse than that shown on slum dog millionaire - poverty IS something to be ashamed of and SHOULDbe shown on film - at least india or australia for that matter wont ignore it then

  • Amitabh and his self-promoting family (Aishwarya Rai) is jealous of her success. Aishwarya is non-talented hack who did hard marketing in US talk show circuit with no success, as she has no personality. Actually she did nothing more than fluttering her eyes.

Frieda sounds very intelligent for her age and is a better representative of India than Aishwarya.

Amitabh's low blow and nepotistic behavior has caused me to lose whatever respect I had left for him.

  • Gorgeous.

  • i don't understand hindi, can someone tell me what Amitabh Bachan.

  • @daveibukun

Slumdog millionaire is the worst Indian movie I have ever seen coupled with the worst music AR RAHMAN has ever created...It won the oscar just because it was by a British Filmmaker..There are numerous great great movies in India with Rahman as the composer with a better story...Amitabh Bachchan is a Legendary Indian actor, considered among the greatest in Indian movies..

  • i would die a thousand deaths to live with her for 1 instant

  • ..to add to that..Amitabh never worked with world class directors of India. He catered to mal-cultured Hindi speaking audience, where he had to say dialogues that are melodramatic and unrealistic.Satyajit Ray, Mrinal Sen, Adoor Gopalkrishnan and many other world famous directors( ppl whose names hindi masses never probably heard of) never took him in their films. So he is NOT that big of an actor, he is commercially successful, that's all.So the whole Big B myth is quite shallow.

  • @Kabla21

Amitabh Bachchan is a legend,if he's not then who is?

He has done many great movies catering to the needs of all kinds of people.I think you're blind or haven't seen many of his movies...

This movie wouldn't even have been considered for the filmfare if made by an indian director...it's filled with shit and with no story..this film is a big joke.....Have you seen swades...tell me how this shit is better than that?....That film gives you pride in being Indian not this one..

  • Comment removed

  • @KINGMJ1990 "Amitabh Bachchan is a legend,if he's not then who is?"-- this is a hollow and emotional statement. There are far far better actors in this world than Amitabh..you just need to see good films rather than damn rotten Hindi films.

No wonder you have got no taste to appreciate Slumdog. To be honest with you, most of the Hindi film directors are dumb with lots of money.Thats why they have spoiled your taste and made you watch all those song and dance shit..

  • @KINGMJ1990 SO its natural for you to not like films that shows shit when yourself live right next to shitty streets, shitty slums, shitty houses..Thats your mental problem because you are used to watching films with silly heroes dancing in trees with flashy clothes even though you will never wear them in your whole life. Be mature and watch good Indian films. Not shitty north Indian stuff that has all glitter but no gold. Satyajit Ray never called Amitabh in his films and he won OSCAR.

  • @KINGMJ1990

Swades did not win an oscar..

Many stupid films have won the oscar...and many great films haven't.

Bollywood works in a certain manner. When I see this film and compare it with any intelligent Aamir khan movie or Hollywood movie,I find it to be crap.

Slums and shit is part of this world but it's not about the slums alone in this movie. This movie is going no where with it's story and you have to agree Rahman's music was the worst here.

  • @Kabla21

And what do you mean by north india?..I am a south Indian...People like Amitabh,Dharmendra,Rajinkanth,Kamalahaasan,Mohanlal and Mammootty are legends of Indian cinema however it may be....I am not denying anything about Satyajit ray,he is great but he is not the benchmark..Indian cinema and audience doesn't work that way...According to me Swades is the best Indian movie made...It captured the essence and culture of India not showing the stupid slums prevalent all over the world.

  • @KINGMJ1990 I think its useless to talk about cinema with you. You taste is too immature to talk about it.And yes you are right, Indian audience does not work that way because most of them are uneducated people who hardly have proper education. So I dont expect them to see and appreciate films made by Ray or Adoor Gopalakrishnan etc. Indian audiance need walk thousands years more to really understand good films. Until then watch craps like Swades.

  • @KINGMJ1990 you can cry OSCAR OSCAR..when Indian directors dont get it..but you fail appriciate an Indian director who gets OSCAR.That means the films you see are not at all OSCAR worthy and crappy. And dont be do humbug saying 'this is India and Indian audience' ..Indians are not aliens.A good film is a good film. Its another thing that you cant understand that. Ray's classics are still highly appreciated all over the world. Not your crappy Swades. Bollywood is a joke to this world.

  • @Kabla21 .. so is Shahrukh ( i do appreciate his performance in Chak de tho) and other Khans and 99% of Bolly population..

  • @666interlooper I personally feel ugly when I see a HUGE tall Ambani building coming up in the middle of thousands of 'jhopri's ..it shows our shameless vulgar showmanship and also poor taste. Nothing to be proud of about that..some guys got money and they are showing it..this is what our India is.

  • @Kabla21 Kudos! Well said dude. I agree 100%. I don't think he is the biggest actor in India, there are many others.

  • Amitabh Bachhan is good at over the top commercial films where Indians are shown as kings and Millionairs..or some dancing creatures. So its natural for him to comment like that becoz he doesn't know what is good cinema! Only now a days he gets little bit challenging roles. So his comments doesn't count.India doesn't need fake its identity..we are a poor nation and poor ppl fight to live. There is no shame in being poor, instead their struggle should be glorified!! Not Ambanis or Tatas...

  • Guys, I really respect all you people's comments. And I personally think, Amitabh Bachhan is a very good actor and a legend. What he said was a little misinformed on his part, I totally agree with his comment it's a genuine mistake. The reason a lot of Good Cinema from India is not appreciated in the Academy Awards is because, first few of Academy's rules to be nominated are, that the movie has to be in English or atleast most of it. Secondly, it needs to open first in Los Angeles county for a

  • and needs to run atleast for 7 consecutive days. It needs to be marketed in a normal fashion as acceptable to the industry. Then it needs to be submitted to the Academy by the producer or the studio or the distributor. So what happens with a lot of small budget Indian films is they get lost due to the difference of opinion by the board members of Indian Film Association. Now a lot of Indian movies have been good like "Traffic Signal" which I think was way better than Slumdog but it just got lost

  • why does she speak English?

    i'm dissapointed

  • @Missjustnickname ye angrezi kyun bolti hai

mujhe is baat se narazgi hai

  • WHAT A BEAUTY I CAN`T BELIVE MY EYES. SHE IS SO CUTE. IF I KNOW HER I WILL MARIED HER WRIGHT AWAY. SHE`S GONA LIKE ME THAT 100% SURE. HAAHHAHHAHAHA

  • Big B ..our Bachaan shab is 101% right because i felt the same whn i watched the movie..have you guys seen traffic signal...thats so good movie and many more movies like that worth nominate for oscar ...this movie went to oscar becoz its not directed by an indian.

  • i think that amitabh bachan can say what he wants cuz its his opinion but at the same time, if everyone is noticing that there is so much povrety and pollution shouldnt they do something to fix that? noooo one does anything i mean seriously the second i get out of the airport on my way home, i see men peeing at the side of the roads and auto drivers spitting their paan. if everyone really had a problem with the way india looked they should have done something about it

  • *DOESN'T

  • First of all why does Freida Pinto speak in hindi? Isn't that the national language of India and isn't she an Indian? Why are you speaking in English?

  • @Mirpuria why did u write that comment in english????

  • @fsalhin99

No problem, If yo want I can write it in Urdu also (my maternal language).

  • i so hatee when some outsiders come to our place and start making documentaries about our social and economic status... what the fuck is wrong with them?? why they can't focus on their own places??

  • @samiah13 The director of this film had a different motive..watch his interview..he said that in a economy where every thing is down...a guy who won a million dollars didnt care about the money he was just searching for love...and as far as economy is concerned the us is facing..and at times like this a movie like this is a eye opener to focus on love not money!!!!

  • @sonia20ish ya thats a typical indian movie, always ending with a happy sweet get together...

  • ya i agree with amitabh bacchan ji, they always focus on the "poverty" of a developing country and what do these slums get in return, NOTHING just a round of applause;thats all, seriously i don't have any idea what frieda pinto is talking about, she just doesn't make sense at all... SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE won OSCARS, not the slums who are residing along the poverty line.. i bet they don't have any idea about these oscars...

  • dumb

  • I like when Indian people talking and mixing Hindi and English :D My Indian friend does that sometimes :D The power of languages hah! :D

  • Slumdog millionaires. Many political leaders or actors were downright stupids once. When they tastes the millions, the word "SLUMDOGS" still remains. What is wrong with that?

Don't you know that 600 million poo in the open in India even after 63 years of independence? Where did the boy came from when he got his autograph signed in the movie?

  • I understand Freida's point and appreciate her efforts to defend her movie; however, even the title "slumdog" is insulting. I am on Amitabh's side on this one all the way!

  • It's very annoying when they speak i\hindi then english then hindi again, just choose a language to speak in, i speak hindi and english but i never mix thsoe because it gets quite annoying

  • she's sooo skinny! i think she'd look even better with more weight on her..nonetheless, she is BEAUTIFUL

  • Why do they mix Indian with English language?

  • @kuunami

firstly there is no language called indian....they r speaking hindi

secondly lot of ppl in india do that...there r more than a 100 languages in india n the only common medium is english

  • @girlcalledaish

I understand that there is no one Indian language. Like many countries multiple languages are spoken but I can't sit here and list off every language spoken in India by name when I ask the question. Also like many countries I was assuming that there is one particular language that more widely spoken than the rest. I don't think that's an unreasonable assumption.

  • @kuunami

its not an unreaonable assumption....i wasnt saying it to poke fun

its just a piece of information

  • @girlcalledaish

Oh I see. I apologize. I misinterpreted your tone. It can be tough to tell through text only if you know what I mean. Thanks for the info, I've always been fascinated by Indian culture.

  • @kuunami

    no prob

btw in india there is a fetish fr lighter skin...i dnt really know how it started

some say coz of british rule....but evidence shows it was befor that

its pretty sad but i hope ppl learn to accept everybody for who they are

  • @girlcalledaish

I agree, it's really a shame. It seems that this light skin fetish is an issue in almost every brown skinned ethnic group now. Definitely caused by European dominance. Ive always found darker skin Indian women most attractive. I saw a clip from an Indian talk show where a darker skinned actress spoke about her difficulties getting decent roles and it was amazing to me because she was GORGEOUS in my opinion. In the U.S she would be considered light skinned in the black community.

  • @kuunami

yeah i heard skin lighteneing is a prob in the black community

but when white ppl spray tan themselves, sit under the sun or in a tanning bed (unhealthy methods) no one says anything

ppl should try to be comfortable in their own skin

  • @girlcalledaish

I think that skin lightening is seen as a serious issue because the motivation behind it is much different than that of tanning.

  • Go Slumdog!

  • if bollywood is so upset wit our poverty being shown then why dont they shoot in india themselves.......most bollywood films are shot in america, europe, austraia, cape town etc..they rarely shoot in slums

  • @girlcalledaish

i think ppl don't wanna watch movies on slums, n bwood movies are international, i mean dev d was shoot in india n it wasn't in the slums so was oye lucky oye n wanted so yea , n weren't mad at the slums they were mad tat they were goin to be stereotyped now 4 bein poor in hwood, like africa theres more to africa then poverty but ppl don't think about tat they just think of animals n grass bout africa

  • @Namrata7495909697

dev d was a good film but only few of the ones shot in india

most of karan johars films r filmed in beautiful places with nice clothes n lots of make up

there r many films like this

its nice to hv a few exceptions but we have to accept the fact that a majority of indi is below the poverty line and insted of ignoring it the show do something about it.

  • @girlcalledaish

all of dev d was shot in india n i don't see wat makin movies on slums wud make a difference , like they made slumdog millionarie , but poverty is still there right

n there is a city life to india , not all is poor

  • @Namrata7495909697

this movie was based on a book written by an indian auther about slum life...where should they shoot it?

  • @girlcalledaish

i never said tat they shudn't have shoot it there , duh, read the comments carefully

u said they shud do sumthin about it, i said i don't see wat makin movies on slums whud make a difference to poverty, they made this movie, poverty is still there

but not all movies shud be shoot there like kj's movie, their love stories based on city life outside of india, not slums so they shoot it international

  • @Namrata7495909697

then y do they complain about showing indias poverty

we do have the largest slum in asia

and when i said do something about it i mean eradicating poverty not shooting more films there

but we shouldnt get offended if someone else shoots in the slums

  • Freida looks more like latina than indian

  • @barathkhan

i thought latinos n indians look similar in some ways

  • She isn't Trying to be European.

She's speaking Hindi ( I think) it's an Indian language anyway.

  • freida is correct in a sense. big b's words has not been understood in the proper context. thanks zoomdekho.

  • u fucking....freida pinto.....what u assume urself....u behave like american....what is ur ethnicity....u will always remain indian......u can't become european.....so always behave like indian............no britisher or indian.....likes us....they are racist they are just using u for their profits...thats the bitter truth...

  • If the film had Amitabh or Aishwarya he would have kept quiet. Poverty is everywhere, but its scale and inhumanity in India is mind boggling. Add to it the millions of untouchables and the associated racism. Its shameful when some people try to deny these realities. Wasn't he the one who tried to grab land from poor farmers.

  • @youtel1 absolutely spot on.

  • pinto ko chair chub ri hai neechay say kya...lol

  • She's South Indian for sure. She was born in Mumbai but her ancestory is Goan and Mangalorean. And she's a 100 percent Indian.

  • shes so pretty ! LOL

  • Friedo Pinto... I'm so hungry. This name sounds like a snack.

  • amitabh n shahrukh both r fuckin loosers... and biggest losser r people who says that they r good actor.. they cant match their act skills with naseer, om puri amrish puri irfaan khan ammir khan ajay manoj bajpai ashotosh rana... etc.. and of course nana patekar.. these guys are 100 time better thatn shah amit and akshay l .. matter fact i think arshad warsi is better actor than amit and shahrukh kihan

  • @1Jasrotia are you crazy !

  • I agree with the comment below. I think Indian girls are beautiful. They have beautiful eyes. I also adore their hairs too :-)

  • @Akiithebest & strawberryanee

Indian girls are beautiful...doesnt matter if they r frm south or north...world knws Indians as Indians,...not south Indian or north Indian....So stop fighting and be proud to be an Indian....im south Indian and i belive tht both south and north Indian girls are beautiful.!!

  • @asdarunasd : I don't know a "southern Indian" from a "northern Indian" and agree that Indian women are the most beautiful women in the world.

  • @asdarunasd they are beautiful u know why?because its strange they are not that plastic beauty boring face and and and ,but also there i believe there arent average women there are only beatiful and ugly

  • @asdarunasd - that "north vs south" bullshit exists everywhere. Italy, America, Peru, Colombia, etc. etc. etc. People are so stupid. IT's time everyone accept the diversity of this world.

  • Amitabh is correct in some sense. Thanks zoomdekho.

  • Amitab Bachan is 100 % right ...............these people can't see a real story ..........they get fame from movie thats another thing but the main reason of its hit is poverty.........which they find something different from other western world .

  • @MultiLivemusic .. salaam bombay is real .. this is fake

  • @MultiLivemusic I agree there are so many movies like slumdog millionaire in hindi but just bcoz its been made by a foreigner it gets award internationally - what bullshit.

  • this bitch should stop faking accent lol

  • gosh..she's so skinny..

she's 5ft 6 apparently..she looked same height as sharukh khan with 3 inch heels...

    i think she's about 5ft 5..

  • i do not understand the interviewer

  • Freida is hot for a South Indian.....

  • @cavegirl1985 Aish Rai is south indian...so is rekha & sridevi. also kerala & mangalore has the best looking women in india. north indians have big noses and are not as light skinned as they want to think they are

  • @ccmerope Yep,you're right....

  • @ccmerope I always thought Sridevi was Punjabi....and yeah Aish is better looking than North Indians....

  • @cavegirl1985 sri is tamil. not just aish. most s. indians have softer features on their faces. u know. i dont think the n indian actresses (kareena, preity) can hold a candle next to south indian beauty.

  • @ccmerope You area complete dick. Just because someone is of darker complexion doesn't make them any less attractive. I'm sure you are a male.

  • i never said or implied that dark skin makes u attractive or vice versa with light skin. i only said n.indians consider s.indians "dark' when n.indians are dark themselves. however i DID say that s.indians are more attractive b/c of their softer features. see how frieda pinto is gettin loreal ads abroad and kareena kapoor or priety are not? its b/c her facial FEAUTURES are softer than kareena's or preity's...even tho they are more light skinned....love dark skin btw

  • she's north indian.. nd btw south indians r the most beautiful out of all indians.. kannada ppl nd mallu's r much more gorgeous than northies.. nothries r not fair-skinned all the time, nd the look crappy, hav big noses nd pure ugly like kareena kapoor.. aish, sri devi, asin, shilpa shetty, deepika, rekha r all southindians nd theres more.. basically south indian actresses rule bollywood

  • @Akiithebest lol sry to say this but the least beautiful r in the south of india

the most beautiful women r frm goa, west bengal (in india), bihar, uttar pardesh and mumbai- these regions have the most beauty. to wat i ve seen the least beauty is in the south though the ones tht r beautiful ovr there r vry beautiful but its rare to find.

nd in kashmir mainly guys lok gud

    u must b frm south?

  • wat the crap...south indians r most ugly...i have seen lot of south indians n they r all ugly...very few may be good looking..north indians r good looking...its a fact...just compare all north n south indians...ur saying only coz ursouth indians...n mallu's n kanaddas r worst like telugu tamils i have seen myself....usually west bengalis, kashimiris delhites, ppl from central india r most beautiful....get ur facts right..no offense to south inidans but tats a fact...

  • @eclecticme7

You may be right by your own outlook. I think your discovery is not enough.....Lets take the Indian cinema from the B&W age till todays. Vyjantimala, Hemamalini, Jayaprada, Sreedevi, Waheeda Rehman, Padmini, Tabu, and a lot more which I am missing now....where do you think Aishwarya Rai, the most beautiful woman in the world is from?? She is from Karnataka. Where is Asin from who starred opposite Aamir Khan in Gajini?? She is a mallu. You will find lots more...think before u post.

  • rediculous.. over her head

  • this guy said this this guy said that just shut up and enjoy an oscar winner movie man huh

  • I too some extent disagree with freida the movie did show the growing working class but I think some parts of india that are very pretty, or beautiful temples could have been shown too.. I know the point of the movie was too show the real problems of india and some sad things but more positive things about india could have been shown as well as the slums!

  • lot of peOPLE TALK ABT AMITABH AND ANIL KAPOOR.... I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT, IF AMITABH HAD BEEN IN ANIL KAPOORS ROLE, WILL HE SAY ALL THIS. HE HAS NEVER GOT AN OPPORTUNITY TO ACT IN A HOLLYWOOD FILM SO CAN SAY HE MIGHT BE JEALOUS.

  • damn freida thats one short dress!

  • Freida Pinto is so fuckin hot,...

i hope she makes a sex movie like paris and lost it somewhere. Thank you Internet

  • i totally admire amitabh bachan.i live in the uk and ive seen why people here love slumdog so much.its only because the movie once again focuses on an issue which is poverty.india has moved way beyond that ages ago and i think if anyone is backward its the sad opinion of the westerners.i think they still live in 1947.i personally bielieve that they delibrately refuse to see our nations progress only because they feel threatened by it.

  • What did Amitbah Bachchan say :S

  • Two stupid discussing groundless topic! Have they ever been to slum!

  • wtf jus look at the way she speaks .........itz like 2 years old speaking........lol........like a viva xam...a student answering to professor all learnt questions....hahahhaha

  • I CAN'T BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE ON HERE ARE TRYING TO MAKE THIS A RACE ISSUE! SLUMDOG IS NOT A NEW NAME FOR INDIA RESIDENTS. PEOPLE LIKE THESE ARE THE REASON THE WORLD IS IN A MESS ALWAYS CRYING THIS IS RACIST THATS RACIST JUST SHUT UP! I live in britain we are known for our helping minorities but their is to much pc corectness in the world you have to check before you speak nowadays what every happened to FREE SPEECH!

  • Comment removed

  • yeah !! u show the growing economy !!! give me a break

  • can someone subtitle this please?!

  • please is that english?

  • I love Amitabh B. He is not afraid to say something different, when the entire world is crowing the other way. Even when Michael Jackson died, he didn't crow "Oh King of Pop the greatest died...but he had problems" Instead he wrote about personal experience with Jackson on and off stage-eloquently. He cherishes those moments. That's it. Read his blog.

  • @Mrparrot73 What an ignorant fuck you are. You think America is so great? We let our nation get plundered by wall street and will be more like a 3rd world country within 10 years.

Dont be such a fuck head.

  • amitabh b. was talking about the movie, he said while people were celebrating because it won so many awards, if an indian had made the movie, it might not have gotten appreciation and that yes parts of india are dirty county, but it also had a clean side, and do only developed countries show our bad part and poverty. there is a part in the movie that shows the slums, but as the boys grow they show each other the slums they lived in, that were changed in to big cities they show there pride. <3

  • i hav no idea wat they're saying lol

  • For more information about Freida Pinto visit:

    freidapinto co uk

  • democratic nation..?

what the hell is talking about lol

she does strike me as a bit OTT sometimes..kinda trying too hard to impress

that dev kid is the complete opposite...he is just always being himself, natural..

dont get that feeling with f.pinto..never have when ive seen her interviews

  • I soooo agree with you.. and i hate when ppl do it.. especially when she is on a western show..she just tries to act as if she is british /american...i HATE that!!

  • Hey,

I dont quite understand the hindi parts cos i dont talk it... can someone maybe explain/summerize what Amithab B had said about it, and what the girl says in defence. thanks!

  • Whole country Agree with what Big B said.

Only Anil kapoor, Irfan , N pinto does not agree.

We can consider Pinto and irfan as not nation loving coz of their religion, but y Anil Kapoor is acting like "Jai Chand" here ???

  • really? The whole country agreed with Big B? far as I know everyone was celebrating Allah Rakha Rahman's win. Suck It!!!

  • yeah! I still don't get it why this movie got oscars! there are so many extraordinary movies made in India! Why no Oscar for those! You are right celebrating only ARRahman's achievement and that's about it..

  • wow that comment hurt, just cause they aint sikh/hindu or muslim does not make them not care about their country - thats real ignorant.

  • yeh true say

  • Who gave u the right to considere pinto and irfan not nation loving bcs of their religion? I think u dont as well feel proud about two oscars Inida got through A R Rehaman, beacause of YOUR RELIGION

  • what are they saying?

  • Freida or whatever..can you please tell me where the hell the producer has shown the economic side of your country?? all that is shown is slums..which i felt was wrong and i agree with what Mr. Bacchan said..

  • Amitha is so right!

  • Freida is so breathtakingly gorgeous. Anyone know if she is single...lol?!?

  • lol no she ain't single

she is going out Dev Patel

the person who plays Jamahal at the end

  • I want Freida!

  • sali pagal larki hai doesnt even know whats see is talking about, every sentance she gets right second time.

  • no offense to her fans, but freida's pretty bad at speaking hindi.

  • @shahidsgurl the reason being she is from western part of india jst like me,, and there its not hindi mainly,,though we can speak hindi outside

  • lol she thinks she has gained a far superior insight after her role in the movie..... Listen folks! She has lost her sense of self. Constantly trying to "fit in" to the western crowd.... give me a positive rating if you think she would have sold her soul for a role in a Hindi movie prior to Slumdog.

  • dsd

  • i think abhi is video presented keh rahi hai yeh sahi nahi hai yeh bas matter ko table se uta kar droping on da floor hai jo humein nahi karna chahiyeh, we dnt need western ppl to tell us what to do in the case this film jo bata ta hai is liyeh ke we run away from this subect of the lively hood of the mumbai slums dnt they have rights to as all indian to have good education and services from indian becoming a big successful company

  • i think what amitabh said is right in all contexts....

  • i think hes wrong

  • she didnt exactly answeared da question which the presenter presented to peito about "The West Allways likes the Slum of Mumbai were this films is shot " i think this film focuses on a subject that how come children from these areas dnt have access to free education and other services like safe water to drink and other things.........The Director has done a brillliant job at getting the Matter on the board which we indians tend to forget....

  • ise hindi bhi aati hai i didnt knew that

  • shes a bitch i dont like her or any1 who had 2 do with this film after finding out what happend 2 the child stars. A.R. Rahman is an exception though

  • she is very pretty. but i don't think she is a very good actress. she spoke very well in this interview but seriously, i don't think she deserves any acclaim as a rising actress.

  • @waln492:

I agree with you completely. Freida is very beautiful but her acting skills definitely need work. The other stars of "Slumdog" did a much better job, in my opinion.

  • she has a nice sitting posture here, but shes average, just another average indian lol.

  • Plz. go through my video to get a third person logic--- Slumdog Millionaire-Wastage of Oscars & Golden Globes

  • u dumb bitch its not abt the poverty its the title of the movie " the slumdog " . you take pride in it while sitting back home and we indians here in america have a fresh new racial slur for us . " SLUMDOGS "

  • It's true that if an Indian made this film it wouldn't be this famous. And most ppl think India is all slums after this.

  • WTH u talkin about???? u dont make sense

  • she is hot!! :)

  • hey why is she looking soooo white??? , her skin tone was nice and tanned before, looks like shes used some sort of lightening cream...

  • lol no....its the lighting...

  • oohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh c:

  • if my ass were skinny...it wud look like Freida..

  • Amitabh didn't even say that! All he said was that I hope people realise that poverty exists all over the world, including developed nations not just India. He also said that had an Indian made the same film it perhaps wouldn't have recieved so much acclaim. Perfectly valid comments, I don't think they're blasphemous or derogatory in anyway. Why people made such a huge fuss out of it I will never know.

  • Really? Could you tell me where to find what he said and if it's not in english can you find one with English Subs? Thanks

  • @spicyindian thats right. well, on the other hand danny has mede similar movies in the past, about other nations- his sensational realism is just not restricted to india.

    thanks zoomdekho

  • @spicyindian All the fuss just because it's Zoom. The channel mines out a mountain from smallest things. A typical Indian viewer considers it a fact when it's shown with little spice. Zoom is the most pathetic TV channel.

Here are some facts about Freida Pinto,

She has acted in the film for mere 20 minutes.

She can't speak even bad hindi.

She can't even sit on that damn chair which is taken as style by the Indian female audience.

    It's still a question if she's beautiful.

    Shit.

  • amitabh bachan is jss jealous tht he cudnt b part of this successful movie after all v hve 2 accept tht more then half of our population lives in poverty n d whole world also knws bou d growin power of india

  • Amitabh ... Jealous ? haha .... Amitabh is a KING , hes been there done it all . His movies from the 70s and 80s were ... priceless. There people that actually consider him GOD . He doesnt actually care and doesnt need fame.

BTW .... Amitabh will be starring in a VERY BIG movie called Shantaram which stars Johnny Depp. The movie will be a big big super hit.

Amits acting is still Suberb , but the way he played his characters before were just... 100%

  • Are they auditioning for a porno?

  • Fish net Ho either you talk in english or hindi. Try to improve either one.
