@lunchmeat400 I grew up with this show,, i just remember coming home from school and it beeing on,,, do you remember the show " MARY HEARTMAN, MARY HEARTMAN? same time frame, check it out.
@ilovelucyfan500 Dude, if you dont want comments, disable them, grow up, im just sayin, i didnt like the show, but you do a good job posting, it's only comments, dosnt make me the worst person on here, only the most bored.
This is a rare occurrence where Beverly Archer doesnt appear in the episode. Also, I think the quality of the video got crappy for some reason in season 3, in comparison to season 1 & 2. The video and titles actually look nice in those.
i like this one better than the others but its sad that they took out half the family by season three thats what i liked least about the show. Franny and Eunice were hilarious! But they left. . .
I think "spudtv" has the season wrong, from what I remember. Well, I caught reruns after the show ended, obviously, but this is what I know: "Mama's Family" began its run in 1982. Allan Kayser didn't join the show until 1986, which most likely was the start of season 4, but it could be the tail end of season 3. Anyone want to clear this up for me?
Depends on the season. The '86 season almost exclusively used this version of the theme for the closing, except for the life insurance episode and a couple of others. The episode with Aunt Fran's will used an even shorter, odder-sounding version for the closing. Occasional episodes after the '86 season also used the normal shortened version of the theme for the closing, though those were few and far between.
It is 1027 Montrose Ave, South Pasadena Ca. It is also the same house that P.J Soles character (Lynda) lived in for the 1978 movie Halloween. The famous Michael Myers standing behind the hedge bush was filmed 2 houses down from this.

Allan Kayser joined at the start of Season 3. This season (oddly) began in the Summer of 1986, so it does lead to some confusion.

I wonder if the shorten version of the theme music is actually the music normally used during the closing credits.
