I think the most underexposed bad aspect of this game has to be that you need to buy a controller pak to save the game. I mean, they made NES carts in 1985 that could save your data, but a cart game in 1999 can't without getting an external device? Yikes.

E.T. wasn't even intended to be a game. That was supposed to be marketed a new means to executive capital punishment on convicted criminals, but it got distributed out on the game market by mistake. Supposedly as a more humane manner of killing people. But of course, anyone who was going to play that game would have known it would suck. So actually it sucks less than this game, because it is expected to suck.
