YARDBIRD was the first GM that I beat. I notice that you play much less aggressively against GMs than you do against lower rated players. For instance you didn't even consider playing g5 whilst you had very little hesitation playing it against the 1900's rated player. I think that you underestimate yourself and that you should play as aggressively against GMs as you do against lower ranked players. Cheers....

ef5 allows a brilliant sac on g8 then Qf6 check and you are mated :P.
