  • Wow what a great piece of music and rare film!

  • When I was 19 and played violin, Bach in his own grave was having a fu***ng seizure.

  • When I was 22 and played the violin, I made the family dog howl.

  • 5 ppl accidentally came while looking for puff daddy

  • where can i get this sheet music?

  • @brianlovesfootball your local music store should have it.

  • God works in strange ways...

  • Well... When I was 34 and played violin for the first time (last year), all my neighbours wanted to kill me... and they still want... just a bit less than before :)

  • he stores acorns in his cheeks

  • you are all trolls .

did you ever think that he is over weight

because the man walkes on cruches

or rides i an electric scooter

    he has a disability

be thankfull that his music gets shared with the world

  • @LucielStarz123 well he can't really exercise all that well?

  • Ficaria mais perfeito se o video estivesse afinado em La 442

  • He's still as chubby as ever. You must say that he wuld be quite handsome with a few pound off.

  • thank you so much for sharing this unic video! We are all so impressed and follow the musical foodsteps of Perlmann....

  • when i was too 13 and played my violin my parents want to kill mee

  • The recording is about half step above pitch. Unbelievable ability. I've seen plenty of seasoned professionals that cannot play like this.

  • this recording is PAINFULLY SHARP. argh but still good..

  • What a lovely smile, it show's how he feels and enjoys what he's playing

  • man, i suck compared to him.. :)

  • Why is this not it E Major? 0.o

  • @chibiviolinist21 because its old ass recording from the fucking 50's.... LOL!

  • @rstarjones what's wrong with an "old-ass" recording from the 50's? I'm an old-ass fiddler from the 50's (Teacher was Boris Schwarz) and I never play a half-step sharp....Mebbe flat, but NOT sharp...................))

  • this isn't young of perlman

  • its higher by a tone...

  • Itzhak perlman

  • I hate myself for not taking up an instrument until my late-teens :(

  • I remember playing Tzigane in a tiny complex apartment and while I was playing, my neighbor chased me around with a baseball bat because it was too loud.

  • this is sped up :P

  • I already recognize his sound and style!

  • This is wonderful

  • so that's how it started..

  • @cosmo2631 He's a world-class violinist, one of the greatest violin virtuosos of all time. He has performed with the world's best orchestras.

  • @zucchini2007 You're an idiot.

  • This kid will never amount to anything!

  • He looks like that other kid from "Jingle All the Way" with Arnold Schwarzenegger

  • It must be either the tuning of his instrument, or some sort of transitional pitch change with converting the recording, but does anyone else notice that this is all sounding up a whole step? As in F# Major.... I dunno but I played this today and it definitely doesn't sound like the same pitch.

  • Man, ur a genius!! That's one perfect interpretation~

  • When I was 13 and played violin all my neighbours wanted to kill me.

  • yes... its really hard to play for the first time and all the time when u play bad... LOL hohohho

  • @cristinaGlopez :( Thats sad why? But I have the idea but I used to live in a apartment complex but when I played violin my neighbors and especially the one next to me liked it. I was happy because I spent all my time in that room practicing my violin. I liked the hall way I felt like I was in a concert hall. :D

  • @StradAmatiViolin hahaha, kill in a non literal way! you must be a gifted child :-) when I started playing violin it was like -keep this note all the time you can without "loudness variations"- and there I go, CCCCCCCCC... 2 minutes later DDDDDDDD... three minutes later EEEEEEEE... Eflatttttttttttttttttt... hahahaha, my poor neighbors :-)) God bless them

  • @cristinaGlopez I taught myself how to read music notes just treble and I taught myself how to vibrato or wrist vibrato in three to five weeks and I learned Arm vibrato first which took a month. It took a while to play in tune until I found a finger chart and knew how to relate it to the major scales and minor as well. I didn't skip around I first learned d string g string was hard for some reason and a then e until I learned how to shift. The chromatic scale helped a lot. Thank You.

  • @cristinaGlopez :-D

  • @cristinaGlopez

bahahhaha same when i first started playing the violin

  • @fionashow007 haha i think that is the same for every person who play violin (the worst for my neighbors is that i started to play by myself lol)

  • @cristinaGlopez why O_O

  • wow!!! :D

  • woooooooooooooow

    not bad :D

  • He is great!

  • so he already carried that confident demeanour with him at 13

  • joshua bell is a mere kid compared to itzhak perlman in both age and skill

  • @pinkhotdog56 Probably because he's younger.

  • @pinkhotdog56 I love Joshua Bell because besides of being a great performer, he's attractive and charismatic so thank to him young people in love with classic violin are not seeing as "uncool weirdos", and many young people gets interested in classical not thinking it's "something for old dudes", but Itzhak Perlman is the King, perfection, no comparisson possible to any other, and I'm sure that even Joshua Bell agrees :-)

  • @pinkhotdog56 i think the same

  • @pinkhotdog56 You got that right!!!!

  • @pinkhotdog56 what the hell it's mean?Perlman is Perlman, Bell is Bell!Perlman is a genious, Bell is a talented violinist. Completely different. You can't compare two things so different!

  • @pinkhotdog56 That's simply ridiculous. Joshua Bell is a first-rate performer in his own right, just like Itzhak. To compare them in this way doesn't make sense. What makes less sense is that 27 people liked your comment.

  • aww

  • He still has the same smile! A great talent with a great personality.

I am glad he had his chance in USA.

  • He was destined for success. :)

  • i feel so sorryt hat he didnt have a normal life... hes legs are basically gone... all he could do is practice the violin.. he couldnt play move on hes free well or anything....

  • i think disabilities facilitate other talents.

  • no, but not being able to go outside and play gives you a lot of time to practice.

  • What a silly observation. He has an extremely "normal" life, with a loving family and many friends AND he is a lovely, sensitive and brilliant musician. I really do not think you should feel sorry for him.

  • Real Talent!

  • he was not a wunderkind.

  • Really?

  • Why is this in F and not E??? 0.0

  • amazing

  • Yes...a RARE TALENT..:-)

    Looks so CONFIDENT while playing..

The sound of his violin just MAGNETIZE you now and then :-)

    ...and his SMILE !

Thanks a lot for posting !

  • Video is very good!

But this is Partita in original in E major, and on this recording in F major!

  • Thank you for this video !

(Where can u guys find these treasures ???)

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!Wonderful.

  • Thank you for having posted this!
