Oh yea, a few of them are getting real big like the red zebra and the bumble bee. Got the rocks stacked up real high this last cleaning too, looks good.
No, I am looking at it. I said basicly that I'm not sure how long it takes them to get to full size, but my guess is at least a couple years. I also don't know if I am going to leave him in this tank or move him when he gets to large, I have a feeling that I am going to move him though.
Great video mate...any idea how long a venustus takes to reach full size? I've got one in a tank along with electric yellows and blues, he's shyer than them which seems odd, seeing as he will get so much bigger than them! Is yours staying in that tank or moving on?
Not to sure if I am going to keep him in the same tank or not, I have a feeling that he is going to have to move eventually. I am really not to sure how long it takes them to reach full size, but I am guessing at least a couple years. They are a great looking fish though, makes a great addition to the tank.
How big do you think your biggest fish in there is. You think you have any full grown? The orange one, sorry Im bad on names, looks pretty well grown.
Thanks, the song I should have used with my South American tank, it would have fit a little better, but it still works. These African cichlids are very cool, I would recomend them to anynone.
Yes it is for the size tank you have, my filters are 350 gph each, all together there are 8 filter cartriges and 4 biowheels, keeps my water very nice.
Yea once I got my Whisper Power Filter, it made my water practically invisible after about a day. Plus I can put some more fish in there and not worry about anything.
Cool, make sure when picking out your new fish to get the liveliest ones in there, don't maind if they are the hardest for the store person to catch, that means they are the most healthy of the bunch. You'll have to make a new video after you get them so we can all see what you got.
Yea. See thats a bad idea when you bring your girlfriend and 8 year old sister. MY girlfriend and I got two lively ones. And my little sister got this orange bloth i think it was, it was UGLY lol.. But I said she could pick one out. And it wasnt lively at all. So I find out this morning, 12 hrs later its dead. So Im going to get another right now. By myself lol. The other two are doing great though.
Lol, yep, like I said, the lively ones are the ones you want, obviously if they aren't looking great at the store, the shock of bringing them home and into your tank will shurely do them in.
Cool fish, I would make some videos of my oscars but my laptop battery is dead and I can't record videos until I replace the battery wich will not be for a few months possibly... So be patient! I like the dalmation cichlid near the begining.
gets better every time son, il need a time to notice your new cichlid theres that many lol. im loving the white onse with the red head and orange fins but i think you added them last time. well done ed my mate. regards lee

Swiftt5389 4 years ago
Thats the main thing is to have good filtration, there is no such thing as over filtering your water.
