Martin is a great artist! I saw him perform the complete Bach lute works in Montreal a couple years ago, and for some reason it doesn't surprise me that this sensitive performance is the first thing that came up in my search for Froberger on the lute.

I've only recently discovered Froberger so to discover this video now was very timely. This is simply stunning - such melancholy, but at the same time such beauty. What struck me most is that the score of this piece looks very sparce, yet you draw from these simple notes such soul and feeling. I am very moved and inspired by your perfromance.
