Well it is a little more complicated than that you must use special tools in order to disassemble a IC core and I dont have the tools yet it is easy to remove the core but pinnig one is another there are many configuations you can have user, control, master, and grand master pins all in one core and it can be confusing
one of the tools literaly pushes the pins spings and pressed in caps out into a special pin reciver for decoding the other tool installs pressed in caps to hold spring stacks in
in adition to that some people prefer to use software to recombinate/pin these especialy in large master systems it makes things much easier and faster but as with anything the cost of tools is high but if you have the work they should pay for themselves fast the weak link is if a core were to fall into the wrong hands and be decoded it could compromise an entire master system and I have heard of security pins in best cores but personaly never came across any
me too. he didnt inspire me, but i wanna be a locksmith too.i think its useful too. and you have a better chance at getting hired because you know so much already.there are two locksmiths that enjoy having me over at the shop because i know so much, the love to see me pick too. they think i have a lot to offer to the business. so if you bring everything you know to the shop theres no doubt you'll get hired.
nice 10000 fist in the air ! lololol awesome

where do you get that set? whats included in it? how much did it cost? btw, is there anything you need to vary in order to control line pick?
Jc3intelligent 3 years ago
The picks you refer to are from a peterson government4 pick set it is locksmith only and sells for $499.99
I bought the whole set
but you can buy them individulay ie just control line set ect
but you would probly have to get your smith budy to get them for you as peterson dose not sell to the general public
