  • Im turning 43 this year and nervous about it. I am now following you. Loved your review, your personality and your skin type is similiar to mine. I am going to go look at all your videos. Thank you for taking your precious time, to give us 40's ladies help!

  • Lol @ the dirty guy comment! Great review n props to u on letting peeps know ur age! ^.^

  • hi! thanks so much for the review. i just got the bobbi brown concealer/corrector, but they crease a lot and thought i would try a primer. i was wondering what bare escentuals primer you are using - the one for face or for eyelids? could you please post the exact name and/or link to it on sephora website? thank you!

  • "Birthday Money" ?

  • @ Hoorayitscameron ... hehe funny !

  • I absolutely LOVE the bobbi brown concealer! I have dark under eye circles and this one is pretty great. However next time I think Im just going to buy the concealer w/o the powder, tends to look cakey.

  • I was hoping Bobbi's concealer would have been creamier than it actually is. I will try the tapping method since pulling the under eye area defeats the whole purpose of wearing a concealer! I SECOND the motion for you to try the Clarins Smooth Perfecting primer--it's better than my Smashbox!

  • You should try Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting primer. It is really great for fine lines.

  • Excellent review, helps a lot, thanks very much!

  • AVON makes a primer called MAGIX. On sales it's about $7.00, or $10 reg price. I love it and use it with my liquid and mineral foundations. I tired it since I got a discount for being a REP, but honestly I was surpised at just HOW comparable it was to my Smashbox primer. And best of all, you can return it for your money back if it doesn't work for you. Thanks for the vid since I have been thinking her concealer over;)

  • This definitaly made me interested in the product ! And it looks like your using a lip color, it looks nice :]

Also, what do you do to your eyebrows? It is essential to have your eyebrows to frame your face nicely.

  • I'm really enjoying these videos. Keep em' coming.

  • happy belated birthday!

    you & maddie are great!

  • Thank you so much

  • something thats the same but neutrogena brand, is the mineral sheers concealer...

  • I'll have to check that out - others that I really like that I use are Maybelline Mineral Power & Neutrogena Skinclearing Oil-Free Concealer (I especially love the foam tip applicator on that one)

  • i love all of your videos! you and maddie are great! thanks for the review! is maddie your daughter? cause until you told me you were 44, i actually thought you were her older sister...and im not just saying that to be nice! i was actually really confused, thats why im asking!

  • Thank you so much - Maddie is my daughter - she's 18 this week! & I turned 44 last week. I also have two other kids - one older & one younger than Maddie. I have to say the camera is very forgiving - I wish people in real life could only see me how I appear on camera LOL! That would be awesome!

  • Thats awesome Janet! I am glad that it wasn't a total waste of money. I hate it when you buy an expensive product and it fails or makes you break out or something. I wanna see you do a tutorial and play with some color! That would be cool.

  • I know I hate when I spend a lot & its just not what I thought it would be - its a real bummer! I will be doing some tutorials with & without color but I'm still learning & some of my results are pretty laughable but I guess I should probably show those too because above all else I really want to keep it real.

  • Actually, I love watching "bloopers". Those are the most fun part of videos. I usually try to attach mine to the ends of my videos. You should check out the Jemma Kidd line of makeup at Target. I love it. And I think Maddie might like it too. Its fun and funky colors.

  • I've used a big 10X lighted mirror for decades -- I couldn't imagine being without it! It was pricey at about $125 but worth every penny. Now that I can't see without my glasses it really makes a difference -- especially for eye makeup and grooming. Great video, Janet, I'm loving this new show!

  • Thanks so much Liz - I think a lighted mirror is going to be my next purchase - it hasn't mattered so much in the past because there is no natural light at the studio where I work. Its like a cave.

  • studio...what do you do?

  • I work at a music studio

  • Bobby Brown as in the crackhead?

  • no lol I don't think he has a makeup line

  • ha ha...that's what I thought

  • LOL Bobby Brown is the crackhead & Bobbi Brown is the makeup artist - I actually got confused for real a few years back too when I heard about her the 1st time. LOL

  • haaha 2nd comment : )

  • I'm so glad you tried this!! yay! those are some awesome free samples too. hope you continue to enjoy it, i love mine :D By the way if at some point you want more coverage, Bobbi Brown has something called the Corrector that you can use in conjunction with that concealer kit

  • I'm so glad I tried it too - its my new favorite thing plus the Rimmel Stay Matte - which is totally awesome! Great suggestions - keep em coming!
