I agree with you about Barry Hall, but don't make the connection that UFC is stupid or brainless. The important distinction is that one sport you agree to fight, and the risks associated with that, whereas the other you are supposed to be playing football. Barry Hall should definitely be charged with assault, still should. You cant complain about one-punch deaths and try to lock the offender up for life if, at the same time, you allow serious assaults get off with nothing.
