@Hotrodx199 The cartridges I bought in Japan had an extra piece on it that wouldn't allow it to be put into the console. I simply broke the plastic piece and they worked
A: either pick a a game genie, as most games were only region locked by the shapes of the carts themselves and the game genie simply serves as a pass through or
B: pick up a genesis model 3 ( No game genie needed ) However, the downside with that is that mega drive games made in Japan after '93 had a lock out chip, where you would need a game genie and the code making the model 3 useless as the game genie does not work with the model 3.
haha awww play nice TheJdawg2424 - now go to your room, play pretend bad @ss on your xbox and hush up while the grown ups are talking. Maybe I'll let your mom tuck you in tonight before I rail her guts out.
OK So stupid question (maybe) - but I don't know enough about Japanese baseball - I know Sport Talk Baseball was our version - just focused on the play by play; I didn't know the Japanese version had the songs; are those the real team fight songs?
well there goes my idea cuz i wanna put some vids of me playing these old games on emulators but i cant find a good screen recorder to use on my computer screen and i dont have a camera
Yeah, I think Sports Talk Baseball came out in 1992 or 1993. It had the same stadiums as this version, but obviously had the actual MLB players. Sadly, it didn't have the actual teams, but it was fun none the less. I think there's a video of it on YouTube.
@punchoutND I'm not completely sure, but that 10 runs thing seems to be a rule in some Japanese baseball games. I'm guessing that it's in this version as well as the Sports Talk one. I'm still tempted to get this one due to the music and effects. I love the "ball" voice.
He's right I own Sports Talk Baseball and its based off the same like World Series Baseball was to Greatest Nine, which I own the original, 96, 97 and 98 on Saturn :)
can you play japanese sega games on a regular NTSC (USA) Genesis?
