First time I heard this = it's beautifully sung and the words are heavenly. Dont wana get into any religous arguments why cant we just appreciate each others religions without bringing up the past! Wish more people paid attention to the message of humanity. I am a muslim BTW

Contd... Moreover , Neither the 9th Master, or the 10th Master ever advocated hatred against Islam, It was only against Aurangzeb and his methods. Guru Gobind singh has stated even being a sikh he would never turn back on an oath he took on the quran even though he is not a muslim. This shows how much respect he had for islam as a religion. The Sikh religion believes that TRUTH can never ever be the sole monopoly of any one FAITH, and that there are multiple paths seeking Waheguru and the Truth.

@ Hero7418, Guru Tegbahaur sahib, never fought any war, he was approached by Brahmins from Kashmir (pandits) who were being forcefully converted into islam upon orders from Aurangzeb, He volunteered his head for the sake of the right of religious freedom of the Hindus. This is the essence of the concept of Martyrdom in Sikhism, as laid down by Guru nanak in his bani "jau to prem khelen ka chau, sir dhar talee Galee Meri Aao...".

Man gaye Ustad ji ...kamaal kar di tussan...kitna dard aur utsha hai aap ki awaz vich...I am moved to tears...bahen jina dian pakrieh sir dije bahein na chodie...it means those whom whose hand we hold and we take in as ours, we will not let go their hands , let our heads roll even....the historical background to this composition is that a tyrannical leader compelled conversion of his subjects by force...it was wrong...one person raised his voice against him and he assurred his follwers thus

rababi means one who plays a rabab(a kind of string instrument), literally means musician. mardana was a muslim who was guru nanak's friend, accompanied him in his travels and mardana used to play rabab while guru nanak used to say poetry (gurbani).

mere veer Baba sheikh farid and Bhagat kabir who have Bani in Guru Granth Sahib were Muslims. Also remember that the foundation of Harmandir Sahib(Golden Temple) was laid by Mian Mir ji. Ours is a universal religion. be proud to to be a Sikh...share this message.

Rababis were musicians of the sikh gurus. The most prominent being Bhai Mardana which accompanied Guru Nanak Dev ji his whole life, and was his closest mitar. Famaily members from his blood line still to this day do keertan for the Guru.

@Singhster1 There is great difference of teachings between the Guru Nank and Guru Tegh Bahader.Guru Nank taught love and Tegh Bahder taught war,Nank taught forgivness Tegh Bahader taught revenge,Nank taught harmony among all religions and Tegh Bahader taught hatred against the Muslims,Nank taught love,peace and Tegh Bahader taught blood shed and violence,Nank never fought any war and Tegh Bahader spent the life in war,Nank respected all Muslims scholors and Tegh Bahader declared them enemy.

@JasSingh88 This is the point which I am trying to make understand to my sikh friends that there are a lot of similarities in both the religion.Both religion had good relations between muslim sufis and sikh gurus.But when the fifth guru started to take part in politics against Jahaghir then differences between mughal and sikhs took place.In my point of view the main reason of this rivalry was the intention of the gurus to built their own kingdom in Punjab against the mughals.

Ninth Peer's Hindu name was Tyagmal but his father, The Sixth Peer called him Tegh Bahadur(in Farsi)He shares commanlity with Hazrat Sarmad Shahid RA. Kindly provide proof of your allegations. Banda was defeated by the joint Army of Khalsa and Moghuls and Mata Sundari Ji(Wife of Guru Gobind Singh Ji)ordered Khalsa to oppose Banda.Her Husband fought 18 out 21 wars against Mushriks.Tenth Master had title of Butshikan.

@Hero7418 Kindly read Zaffer nammah and read Farsi and not the translations of it.Baba Nanak only said Kalima E Tauheed, while Tenth Master agreed with Kalima E Nabwa.Feuds between Ahle Sunnat and Shia brethren occurs.Salafis have issues with rest of Ummat. Sikhs feud with other Muslims is more secternal then religious.We follow Ahle Khalsa firqa of Islam.Prophet(SWAS) said that man is image of the God with qualities of the God. Same is thought to us to incorporate.Islam is love so is Gurmat.
