Ya'll know that Brandon didn't play this, right? The actual guy who played this is a guitarist here in Wilmington NC, where the movie was filmed. The guy ACTUALLY on the roof is JD Collins. He was brought in after the accident to film this on the rooftop at the ScreenGems studios in Wilm. He said the hardest part was the electrical tape wrapped around his arms. Kept coming loose while filming. He's a badass guitar player. He's sitting in with my band this coming weekend.

umm no he didnt and no it wasnt. Graeme Revelle wrote it and Lee did not play it in the film. look it up. "Inferno" is the rooftop solo, "Captive Child" is the softer tune, both written by Graeme Revell. if anyone can prove me wrong and that Lee DID play it, be my guest.

buy the special edition dvd and watch the extras it specificly says in an interveiw with brandon lee that he learned to play guitar specificly for this scene. he was too much of an amature to use for the movie graeme played it in the soundtrack that you hear though and the solo can be played in the same fingering pattern lee used. thats the way i play it, and it matches the recording perfectly. as far as picking he probably only played for like a week it takes years to get that good

wrong. ive seen the interviews and i do not remember anything about him learning to play it. and it does not take years to get that good. i learned the song perfectly in under 2 years of playing every once in a while. i didnt play religiously until after my 2nd year. anyway if you watch the movie closely during that scene, his fingers are all over the damn place flinging wildly and do NOT MATCH the correct notes at all, especially when it starts to transition away from the main tune.

actually lee really did play it but they ended up using the composers recording instead. lee learned to play the guitar just for that part i belive

no, he didnt play the song at all, period. it was composed and played by Graeme Revelle. i have been playing guitar a long time and this song was the first i ever learned, and im telling you his fingers arent anywhere close to being correct with either hand. sorry to burst your bubble, bud.... but Lee couldnt play this.

you got a part wrong, and it is easier to play it on the D string on the 21st fret, if your guitar has one, at the start when you go:

B: 13, G: 6/10...

you are meant to go:

B: 13, G: 6/3
