awesome build, almost looks "factory." You built the rifle for under $300? Was that including tools to do it? I've been toying with the idea but I figured the s tart-up costs would be killer... Did you get a flat receiver or a pre-made one?
get yourself the tapco stock you'll love it. i put one on my mak90 and it's the only thing to have on one.you can adjust the stock lenghth which i like sometimes i like it all the way in and sometimes i like it out 2 clicks.also it makes the weapon alot lighter. mine also has the saw type grip and the galil forend.
You should put a woodland digital patter on the wood, but incorporate the wood grain into your pattern. So use olive drab, black, dark brown and instead of tan use the natural wood grain.
I like furniture that looks like a raw 2x4 smeared with a nice piece of buttered Yukoslavian potica bread...the kind that gives ya a splinter every once in awhile...but that's just me.
@ boosted28 - Hey bro, I love AKs, but I really love metal AK's :) I think what you have is really cool. I also wanted to get a Yugo AK or Arsenal that has a folding stock or pistol grip. But that is my thing. Two thumbs up bro! ~General Biggs~
Very cool parts kit video! I actually really dig the OD green receiver. Might want to check out the Hungarian 20 rd mags. That said, I dislike Tapco AK mags because I've bust the tabs in the past. However, the Tapco 20rd SKS mag has proved to be pretty stellar. What kind of trigger are you running? I think I had a K-var in mine years ago (but won't do bidniz with them again).
I think that red stained wood with OD green metal would look bad fuckin' ass. Keep up the great vidjas!
@MegaGewehr Thanks man,I deff will check out the Hungarian 20rd mags,The Tapco stuff is just so cheap and avalible like a hooker. (had to take advantage lol)
I'm not to sure on the trigger as it came with the parts kit.
I do like the way the wood looks on that green, the LOP seems nice for me I guess after I shoot it i'll be able to see what I want to change.
