For some reason I always thought she and jack really did get married on the titanic. And she kept that memory only to herself in the end. And this was her dreaming and remembering it before the boat hit the ice burg. I love movies that have open interpretation endings. One of my favorite movie endings :)

for years i thought she was dreaming it wasn't till i was older that i realized she had died & that was her soul going down to the wreck to be reunited with her true love jack. i used to think that her granddaughter who took care of her was her & jacks granddaughter b/c of the blonde hair & blue eyes you know the same coloring as jack's. i still like to think that she is even though i know she probably isn't b/c i think it's a nice thought.

As a kid, I always thought she died and spent her own special form of heaven back on the ship with Jack, but was proven wrong. In "My Heart Will Go On," the first song that is played in the credits, the first lyrics are "every night in my dreams, I see you, I feel you..." Rose is sadly only dreaming and will wake up and be forced to live yet another day without Jack. This scene and the "you jump, I jump right?" scene where she jumps back onto the boat to be with Jack while it's sinking always..

I haven't read all of the comments here, but am I the only one to notice that when Jack died she moved on with her life, got married, had kids, a grand-daughter. She died and met Jack in heaven, well what about her husband? Ya its all well and good romantic wise, but what if your the other guy? I really hope all you husband and wives out there are married to your true loves, because it would suck to find out you were only number 2.

@BoyDanny93 I saw Titanic last year for the first time. Have loved it ever since. I cried through some parts the first time. I can never watch the whole movie without ending up getting interrupted or needing to turn the volume up or down. Even going the the bathroom. Lion king however, I have watched since I was 2. I used to watch it a million times a day. It is really sad. When we watch it now, my sister has to skip the few minutes of Stampede. They are both really really sad movies. I cry alot

@TheDunHorse i have the special collector's edition of the movie & one of the deleted scenes is how cora (the little girl) & her dad died. sadly they never made it to the top deck b/c of a locked gate they drowned inside the ship. i think it was shot to represent how many 3rd class passengers died on the actual titanic but the scene was cut to help make the movie shorter.

This movie was so hauntingly beautiful. The music, the special effects, EVERYTHING. And the closing scene (here) was just spectacular. Next April marks the 100-year anniversary of the Titanic's ill-fated voyage.....That will definitely be a great time to pull this movie off the shelf and watch it again.

This is the BEST love story ever created on planet earth. I believe Titanic is so famous is because it was obviously a very sad event in history. & Alot of good innocent people died when they shouldnt have.
