This is not recent news or even accurate. Those 2 designs were created by some artist from G fan magazine and was submitted to Legendary Pictures in an attempt to help them get the ball rolliing. The designs were rejected.

man i hope they keep the lower part of his body THICK & BIG like in godzilla sos. i hate all these designs. i just hope they keep it traditional and make him in CGI format..period

i think there's nothing wrong with the basic look..if you got a good story too back it up..too many things are overdone nowadays.....

@godzilladeathmatch i completely agree. if they're gonna reboot the series or try to get interest back in the series, they should keep it simple, like the original '54 Godzilla, but make it look a little better, but keep it simple. by todays standards, the graphics of the original looks terrible, but the story drew me in. well said mate

it looks a little bit like Zilla from 1998 and 2004 streamlined, looks fast, and it has the same spikes, the only difference is bigger spikes on its tail towards the end of it

This is really old news! They leaked these back in March 2011 I believe. They should have contacted Legendary when these leaked instead of a year later

I read the article that the link in the description box sent me to. Apparently these are in fact not rejected designs, but more fan art. At least that's one person is claiming in the comments section, I think.
