There's so much hype on Bross and Wieber, but I really do think Sloan is just as talented (if not more) and has even more presence out on the competition floor. I hope she can make a full comeback in 2012 and blow everyone away.
@uwoeric She was great but with so much talent coming in to this olympic cycle we will have to wait and see. I really like her personality and she was the hardest working gymnast for USA in Beijing. She would be a great team captain.

@JohnPhilipSousa519 Well, she actually crosses her feet a lot during her twisting passes, and tends to lose her toe-point. Also, you get deductions for lunges now, so that's at least another .3 in deductions.. Nonetheless, this was a great performance. :)

Wow, so I was bored and decided to judge the top 4 in this AA to compare results. No favortism was shown as I love all 4 and I'm not an experienced judge so I could be wrong.
1. Koko Tsurumi - 59.650
2. Lauren Mitchell - 59.575
3. Rebecca Bross - 59.375
4. Bridget Sloan - 58.650
Pretty bizarre since the actual results were backwards! Don't hate if you don't agree --- those results aren't what I think; just what I saw.
I go to an Indiana gym close to Bridgets,so I went to a meet at Sharp's,where she trains.It was right after Worlds,and she was there signing.There was no line at all,she was sitting behind the desk looking bored.I went up and got an autograph and said thanks.I had a great oppurtunity to talk to her about Worlds and to congratulate,but I didn't even think of it at the time!I was so nervous about the meet.I still regret that. I couldv'e chatted with the World champion in my sport and I didn't! lol

I dont think anyone has the right to judge these girls, they are all amazing... bridget i find amazing, yes she may not have written back to your letter but just think she doesnt have alot of time to reply she is constantly training, and with her little precious time off she uses to be with her family or friends etc... therefore, when it comes to replying to letters she proberly only realisticly has time to do like 5 a month as she has her sights set on 2012 therefore her time goes into that

I am so glad she won!! she seems like she just has a better personality than rebecca bross. Bross also sort of seems like a robot, no heart and soul put into it like Bridget. Great performance!
@Shorty101x3 i disagree. I think Rebacca Bross has ALOT of heart. She is just so focused on winning that it effects her performances. But I think she really loves gymnastics.
I think she could definitely be an olympic force to recon with! The only thing she would need to do is to put more difficulty in her UB and FX routines
This is not a bad routine, she has some great tumbling and some dance elements. She does a good job but her face looks like she is bored. Still not a bad routine from her...

I prefered her to Rebecca Bross but still think she was lucky to win, her beam was messy. Koko Tsurami, Youna Defornet, Ana Pogras and Rebecca Wing were all nicer to watch though.
the americans need a serious choreography overhaul, both sloan and bross had very poor style and not a lot of elegance....sloan is a fantastic tumbler though, but I just felt the whole routine was irrespective of the music, it may as well have been on mute.
OMG! I didn't realize how much she's improved. I mean, for all the counter argument(ers) of my comment. C'mon! Even the none gymnasts could see how much cleaner she got from the American Cup to here.
Isn't weird how Nastia wore that leo at the olys and won, Jordyn wore that leo at the 09 Am cup and won and now bridget wore that and won... spoookey! :P

Bridget has never been "big headed". She has always been gracious. When she found out she won she told the press she was dissapointed that her teammate Bross fell and that she wasn't happy about it . She also stated that she was just happy she did a good job and made no major errors. That is what Sloan does so well. That is how she beat Bross and nationals AND Worlds. Bross makes too many major errors. Glad Sloan won. Good for Bross for taking second.
