I used to want a dual rectifier, but when I talked about it with a professional recording engineer he brought up something very important. The recto is very nasally, LOADS of bottom end, but it does not cut through! Compared to a marshall or an engl it sounds like there is a blanket over it. If you play baritone music, then this might be a good choice. Of course it does come down to taste.
Uh, I'm sure it sounds great man! But no offense, someone who listens to underoath probably doesn't exactly have a trained ear when it comes to tone. That's not an insult, but you must be pretty young and underoath isn't exactly a "mature" taste in music. Also bare in mind that this is a youtube quality demo. Go compare them in person, I think you'll rethink that comment if you're honest with yourself.
Offense taken asshole. First of all, I don't even listen to Underoath anymore. I listen to more along the likes of Cynic, Death, and Atheist. Mature enough for 'ya??? Second of all, just because I made a dumbass comment 3 months ago when I didn't even know anything, doesn't mean I don't know tone. I'm sure I know just as much, if not more than you. Besides, that gay ass B-52 broke down on me right after I posted that, now I have a Boogie Mark III half-stack.
Holy Christ!
That was tighter than a nun's cunt.

I think the point is to showcase the tonal properties of the amplifier.

I'd be willing to be theres a certain pedal that could help with that.

It cuts through great. It cuts through moreso than a Marshall JVM.

I have a B-52 AT-212 amp (500 USD) and it sounds just as good as this, but witha great clean channel.

No it doesn't sound as good as a Dual Rec dialed in properly.
