Startin at around 1:35 sounds a whole lot like Painkiller :D . Tipton is so fuckin great, Priest would be way worse without his magnificent guitarwork.
point taken tipton is a great guitarist ,can non of you hear the drums it takes something special to keep that up for five plus minutes and cozy powell is also a legend in his own right
I think tipton bites as a singer which ruined baptizm of fire...ecept for a song or two. It had no variety & lacked creativity except for bap. of fire song really. I expected way--more from him considering his past & chance to shine on his own brand of music..
starshiptrooper huh? well that explains your last brain dead reply from a sick mind...I guess your logic & thoughts came from the "starship" huh...space child....wow, what brillance will he entertain us with next.....(the world awaits..)
In case you didn't fully read his comment, he said he does like this song. If he doesn't like the rest of the album, that's his own business, so what the hell does it matter to you?
Tipton is the MAN, one of the most tasteful and melodic metal players of all time, but I've always really, really hated the production on this album. Almost completely ruins it for me, anyone else agree? His rhythm tracks sound like weak synths, thank god his lead tone is sharp and awesome.
I know this album verry well and must say about this song : BAPTISM OF FIRE is younger brother of PAINKILLER ! This is what about is all HEAVY METAL ! JP are GODS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ian Hill and KK Downing both formed Judas Priest after finishing school. Ian Hill ended up dating Rob Halford's sister, and that's how he ended up in the band too.
Yeah, and then the record company suggested that the band should a a keyboard player, but isince K.K. didn´t like the sound of it, he added another guiitar player: Glenn Tipton.
Damn! that is awesome! he should put out more solo albums! The greatest fucking guitarist ever!

Too bad it's just instrumentals. Really good guitar playing but they need vocals to go with it.

nah imo tipton is a better guitar player then a vocalist.
