  • Rick hi,i'd like to ask if the BAM 19 18 is best in .177 or .22 for hunting and shooting i'd really apreciate your opinion .Thanks!

  • @TheVabene73

I'm not terribly familiar with that gun.. but .22 is better for most all hunting situations.

    Rick

  • Just got one of these yesterday and I love this rifle. I've been shooting golf ball sized groups at 20 yards using only the stock iron sights and Crosman Premier Hollow Point pellets.

  • @JSMcustoms

    It is a great gun..

    Rick

  • what pellets do you find the most accurate through this?

  • @thebowlzack

Whichever pellets I used for the accuracy tests will be the ones that I found to be most accurate. It's been a while so I don't remember off the top of my head.

    Cheers.

    Rick

  • Which rifle is better? the crosman phantom 1000x or the gamo big cat 1200? i will most likely be using whichever gun for backyard plinking. And my pricerange is about $100-&160

  • @AwesomeRaffyTaffy

consider the Hatsan mod 95.. I just posted a video of it last night..

    Cheers

    Rick

  • Looks a lot like my old Xisco B-18/B-19, except for the synthetic stock. The B-18/B-19 is a clone of the Gamo 220. It's a good beginner's rifle, but I'm a little concerned about the accuracy in the long term, when the barrel is constantly moved with relation to the scope. It would be better if the scope were mounted to the barrel, IMHO.This may be why your spread is a bit bigger than what my experience is with the B-19 w/o scope. The sights on the barrel might be more consistent than the scope.

  • @BerkeleyGang

Quality control and tight tolerances are what's lacking with the Chinese Crosman and Beeman guns.. I have a Beeman R9 (german gun) that is amazingly accurate even though it is is a break barrel.. I costs about 4 or 5 times as much, so I guess you just get what you pay for.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb I wouldn't say quality control and tight tolerances are a problem with the old Xisco B-18/B-19. It seems to fire tigher groups than shown here. Take a look at xa.yimg.com/kq/groups/9359481/homepage/name/homepage.jpg Like I said - I don't think constantly repositioning the barrel WRT the aiming mechanism (scope) is helpful to the gun's accuracy.

  • @BerkeleyGang

There are good examples and bad examples of how to build a break barrel gun.. you may get a good Chinese one, you may get a bad one.. The percentage between the two is much, much higher than what you get with a German gun like the R9, one of the most consistently accurate guns ever made. BAM is one of the better builders from China so I'm not surprised they do well.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • Which gun do you think is better for the backyard hunter? I'm thinking quiet, accurate and powerful. The first guns that come to my mind are the ruger airhawk, crosman phantom, crosman quest, and crosman g1 extreme. If you have any suggestions, they will be greatly appreciated.

    Best regards, Dylan

  • @DYLANTHESK8ER

The Stoeger X20s, Benjamin Trail NP .22 all weather... from the ones you've selected, the Ruger.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • good for hunting i took a goose from 50 yards out with this

  • @AirGunWeb Which is better; the Crosman Phantom 1000x or the Gamo Whisper VH?

  • @CaulyGames

Tough call.. Not sure that I can make that choice.

    Rick

  • Iv'e put about 1300-1500 shots through my phantom. On rare occasions my gun seems to have it's streak where it shoots .75 inch groups at 20 yards with ease. But most times my groups are 1.5 inches at 20 yards and the point of impact changes drastically. The majority of the time I can't get a sub 1 inch group to save my life. I don't think my ammo is a problem because I mostly use top of the line JSB and RWS ammo.

What do you think may be the cause of my problem?

    Thanks in advance!

  • @Bzapp725

clean your barrel often.. every 50 to 100 shots. check to see if your pellets are seating all the way in the breach or if some of the skirt is still out of the breach when you close the barrel. JSB pellets have very delicate skirts.. if hey get at all bent, the pellet won't fly right.

    Rick

  • Rick,

Iv'e tried that bit abaut seating them all the way in the breach. That has made a big difference with the JSB ammo but I'm still having trouble with the point of impact changing every few shots. I have an NCstar 3-9x40 scope and through some research discovered that it isn't spring airgun rated. I really don't want to spend a whole lot of money but I would like to get a cheap airgun rated scope. What do you recommend? and your thoughts please. Thanks and I sure do appreciate it.

  • @Bzapp725

Try a leapers 4x32AO scope or their 3-9x32 AO scope. I've had great results with them.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • Hey Rick, which gun would you reccomend between this and the Ruger Airhawk? If you prefer one over the other, why?

    Thanks.

  • @massdestruction6230

I like the ruger because it has better "out of the box" performance.. for a little more money, consider the Hatsan 95.

    Rick

  • Can this gun be used for leftys ?

    Thanks

  • @SteveTheJizzer

    Yep

    Rick

  • Which gun is more accurate and an overall better gun for hunting and targets this gun or the gamo big cat

  • @AirGunHunter97

neither really for hunting.. they are very close otherwise. The Phantom seems to be built a little better in my opinion.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb hi rick, i have a huge question for you and im am conscerned about my crosman phantom. (this might be in 2 messages) i shot around 200 shots through my phantom, and throughout that i had a few problems: around the last 50 shots, my gun got really loud, almost to the point of needing ear protection. problem 2. (biggest) when the gun is cocked and ready to fire, pulling through the first stage results in a drop in tension, and then the first stage goes completely limp and lose -next msg

  • @AirGunWeb -continued- the first stage then goes completely limp and lose, but once i pull through the second stage, the trigger becomes taught again. ill explain it again. when the gun isnt cocked, the first and second stage work as expected, but when cocked, the first stage pulls to a point where it drops all tension, and will wiggle losely like a keychain hanging out of the ignition on your car...then i pull through the second stage and it all goes normal again. -continuing to a third message-

  • @AirGunWeb -third message continued- but the safety works fine. i tightened all the stock screws, cleaned my barrel(all those new gun steps). third and final problem: towards the end of my shhooting session ( the start of all these problems), when i broke the barrel down and went to pull it back up into a firing posion, it would go through a series of clicks, kinda like gears, and i would find all these problems to do their thing interchangably. i dont think this is all part of the "bip" is it?

  • @AirGunWeb also, you were talking about a new phantom coming out. do you know anything about this? like when does it come out, how much will it cost, will it be on pyramid air, its features, and will you be reviewing it?

  • @thebowlzack

I'm not sure what could be the issue.. I'll have to get one of the new phantoms to see what's going on.

I would certainly call Crosman and talk to them about the issues.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb can you tell me a bit about the "new phantom"

  • @thebowlzack

It's assembled here in the states and seems to have the NPSS trigger vs the standard crosman trigger pack.. I'm not 100% sure of this.. its what I was able to determine from seeing one at the shot show. Once I see one hit my local wal-mart, I'm going to pick one up.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb also, i was wondering if it is normal to get a THICK coat of lead on my fingers after an hour of shooting with just regular crosman pointed pellets? took me a day to get the lead completely off my fingers. by the way, is it ok to wash the pellets beforehand, or will the lead oxidise?

  • @thebowlzack

it's normal with those pellets... washing may help, but I've just found that it takes time and I still get lead coated fingers..

    Cheers

    Rick

  • I used to shoot a red ryder bb gun. (Sad, isnt it) Im 13 and would love a great rifle such as this one. Which would you reccomend more for target & competition shooting... This gun, or the Stoeger X-10?

  • @98Ps3lover

neither for competition shooting.. either for general shooting. The Stoeger may last a little longer.

    cheers

    Rick

  • I like my Phantom but wish I could do something with the bad trigger. It's got a plastic trigger now so not sure I can replace it. IS THERE anything else to help a crappy plastic trigger shoot smoother?

  • @atvkilla1

I have not seen the new phantom.. I hope to get one when they hit our local Wal-Mart.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb Update: after some research, I guess the CharliedaTuna CBR trigger fits the new Phantoms. I ordered one so I will try to report back with the results when I receive it.

  • @atvkilla1

    Definitely let us know!

    Rick

  • can you make a disasembly and cleaning videos

  • @yourfavoritmexican

I recently posted on on the Benjamin Trail. See my channel for details.

    Rick

  • Part 2. Sorry , but I cant seem to post very long comments. As I said before all I want to do is shoot more accurately. I haven't tried any JSB diablos yet but that seems to be the answer for me as I saw they shot pretty well in the video. If you could, please help me out this and I would much appreciate it. Thanks again!

  • @Bzapp725

Look at the H&N Field Target Trophy pellets and the Crosman Premier Light pellets in the cardboard box. 1.5" at 30 yards is about right for a stock gun. If you learn to "tune" it, you can shrink that do under .75" possibly.

    Rick

  • I recently bought a phantom and put a 3-9x40 scope on it. I shoot 3 different pellets with it: the Crosman wadcutters, the destroyers, and the premier hollowpoints. The best pellet for me is the premier hollowpiont, but I can't seem to get better than 1.5 inch groups at 20 yards.

I would like to know how I can get it to shoot better. I noticed that you mentioned "cleaning up the trigger". Also, I saw you're video on cleaning the barrels of brand new guns to potentially improve accuracy. PART 1

  • 1:22: It doesn't sound or feel hollow because it has a solid foam piece wedged inside the stock which is visible upon the removal of the butt pad. I thought it was pretty clever of Crosman to do this.

  • when i got mine, i had this white powdery stuff all over the barrel. any idea what that was? also, i have a big glob of oil that they put by the place where u put the pellet in...its a purple jello like stuff (lubrication), but its the size of a marble. should i leave it as it, wipe it off, or rub it around...and if i rub it around, where should i avoid putting it? thanks

  • @thebowlzack

Not sure about the white stuff.. as for the lube at the barrel joint.. wipe it off and then onto the wedge that locks the barrel. It is supposed to help with that joint.

    Cheers!

    Rick

  • what is composite made of? all i can think of is plastic when i think of composite...or the look of that gun. and thanks for being so attentive to your comments, always responding within a few hours or days.by the way this gun says if you use anything besides crosman or benjamin ammo you could break you gun. i think thats bs...but what are your thoughts? could i "break" my rifle by using some nicer skenco, beeman, or eunjin ammo?

  • @thebowlzack

Hey there.. I'm a little late getting back to you this time.. been busy!.. Anyway, any .177 lead pellet in the 7 to 11 grain range is fine.. lighter and heavier can possibly cause issues. The composite is a plastic blend.. it is a decent quality in my opinion.

    cheers

    Rick

  • Is this made in USA or China? I hope USA

  • @callofdutyguy9

Crosman recently moved the assembly of the phantom to the states.. not sure where the parts are coming from.

    Rick

  • @callofdutyguy9 mine says made in the USA. upstate NY i think, at least that's where crosman is headquartered.

  • @kaschtnsamtdiekarbln

They've recently moved the assembly to the USA. I can't wait to test one of the new models.

    Rick

  • what editing software do you use?

  • @GumGumHD

I use iMovie, or the new Final cut Pro (also called iMovie pro). I'm looking at moving to Adobe Premier however.. still up the air.

    Cheers

    Rick

    Mac based for sure.

  • can this easily kill a small bird? and a squirrel? with heavy pellets and close range?

  • @GumGumHD

small birds out to as far as you can hit accurately.. squirrels need to be inside 15 yards to be really effective.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb what about non led pellets like the blue flame gamo pointed pellets it will shoot the crosman likw 1200fps?

  • @GumGumHD

The lighter the pellet the less accurate it will be down range.. up close they may work well.. but they get unstable and begin to tumble and then fly all over the place.

    Rick

  • you can buy this rifle without a scope now at walmart.com for 59$ :D

  • @kyofan2052014

sweet.. not at my wal-mart yet.. but I'll keep looking..

    thanks!

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb You can go to walmart online and buy this gun right now for $59 and get free delivery. Also if your looking for a great scope for this gun. I picked up one from a web page AHappyDeal. They are selling Bushnell Banner's with color changeable cross hairs 3-9 40 for $20. (look in Outdoor Sports^ Binocular and Monoculars)You might have to pay that much in shipping also to get it here fast but the scope is werth every bit of $100. So in all you can have scope and gun for around $100

  • @kyofan2052014 I got the last one at my walmart haha, the box was dam beat up though(looked like someone tried to shoplift it by the looks haha). Shoots fine despite that. Bought a good 4x32 scope for it and I can't wait to dial it in

  • @jakethemistake19 haha thats so funny..i picked one up a couple days ago for christmas, and not A SINGLE ONE looked like it wasnt dropped on the floor 6 times

  • does anybody know what store i can go in a buy this from WITH a scope? anywhere i see it in stores has no scope, and i dont feel like paying another $20 for shipping to get it online

  • @thebowlzack

Skip the scope.. it is pretty much a toss away scope anyway. Get the bear gun and put a decent scope on it. You'll be happier.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb thanks for such a great answer...but does this gun deserve a more expensive scope, and if so, whats a cheap scope(better than this one) that would work nicely for this gun? thanks

  • @thebowlzack

The Phantom can certainly justify a better scope.. If you want an economical scope.. the Leapers 3-9x32 is the way to go.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb , I'm looking at this model as well as considering the .22 cal version and modifying it with a faster piston. Would either of these rigs be good for cottontail and squirrel hunting?

  • @Tilbily

You should just go with something like the Trail NP in .22 rather that putting yourself through the work of all the mods. You will get a great hunting gun that should work pretty much out of the box.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb , thanks Rick. BTW I really enjoy your site and the reviews you' ve conducted. Somebody we can trust to give an honest evaluation. Keep up the great work!

  • @Tilbily

You are very welcome. I consider this serious business because people spend their hard earned money based on my recommendations. I don't take that lightly.

Thanks for your very kind words.

    Rick

  • pleeeasseee respond......what pellets would you reccomend for accuracy with this gun?

  • @thebowlzack

Watch the video.. I shoot the most accurate pellets in my shot tests. It will have all the data there.

    Rick

  • great video.. will this kill rabbits

  • @horrixius

Up close yes.. don't try shots past 10 or 15 yards.

    Rick

  • how do you zero the scope so well, i have a Beeman RS2 Sportsman series air rifle and i am about to give up on it

  • @PCGamesAndMore

More than likely it is not you but the rifle. I've had several Beeman (Chinese imports) and they are all hit or mis. Once will have a good powerplant but extreme barrel droop.. the next one won't have barrel droop but the power plant is defective. I finally got a dual cal RS2 that shoot decent with both barrels. Then of course it could be the cheep scope they bundle. Take a look at my first Take AIM video. It will help with the process of setting up your scope.

    Rick

  • can anyone tell me what blueing or bleuing is?

  • @thebowlzack

"bluing" is when you chemically alter the metal to be more resistant to corrosion. There are lots of ways to do it. Generally the metal will turn a dark "blue" i.e "bluing"

    Cheers

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb thanks buddy you have been real informative

  • How would this gun work in the cold and which do you think is better crosman phantom or nitro venom dusk

  • @MrAlbert3560

So far.. the Phantom has proven better in my tests.

    Rick

  • And what do you mean about breaking period

  • @MrAlbert3560

It is a "break in" period. These guns come rough from the factory. The parts are not polished and fitted, not like the German Guns. They take time to "wear in" and then they smooth out. You can shorten this by tuning and lubing the gun when you get it, but then you void the warranty.

    cheers

    Rick

  • How do you think this gun will perform in cold weather

  • @MrAlbert3560

You will looks some velocity if it gets really cold.

    Rick

  • does the gun come with scope covers?

  • @thebowlzack

I believe it does have scope covers.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb and does it come with any pellets in the package?..even like a sample bag of 50, like some airguns have?

  • @thebowlzack

    Not this gun.

    Rick

  • What's so bad about the trigger?

  • @superwownerd101

The sear looks like a mountain range.. When you are "hunting" or just plinking in the back yard it is not a big deal.. but when you are trying to shoot from the bench, it is virtually impossible to get tight groups because of the rough trigger and the length of the 2nd stage. There are 3rd party "fixes" for this that are a vast improvement.

    Rick

  • like the gun. but could u kill like a hog with this one lol? like some of thee Gamo ones?

  • @Adamuk5

no.. and I would not try it with a Gamo either.. I don't care what videos they post online to the contrary.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • Why dont you do the BEEMAN DUAL CALIBER?...

  • @HunTerNINETEEN

Can't get one to shoot right.. I have one.. I've tried review them about 2 or 3 times.. they just don't work out well. The last one I got seems ok in .22 but the .177 does not shoot well.

    Rick

  • Man I love all of your videos. Great stuff. I'm thinking about getting this gun without a scope and putting one on it. any suggestions?

  • @KeanoSteve

The Phantom is not fancy.. but it is a pretty good gun for the money. With some TLC it can be made a great gun.

    Rick

  • How bad is the kick on this rifle? I'm thinking about getting this rifle.

  • @CrazedSniper147

It is not too bad. you will need to have good technique to shoot it. It is still a spring gun in the end.

    Rick

  • can you suggest a good bipod to put on this gun?

  • @The177Hunter

not really.. you can try using the Dragon Claw bi-pod, but it may throw off your point of impact. Anything that causes variances between shots will give you problems.

    Rick

  • many people say this gun isnt good

  • @69ifyed

"most" may be a bit of an exaggeration. This can be a very good gun in the hands of someone that knows what they are doing. I really like this and the Vantage. They are inexpensive, and with some care and effort, make great little guns.

    Rick

  • Would this kill small game? I've never bought an air rifle before and I'm interested in getting one.

  • @ArseTang

It depends.. If you are close enough and hit the kill zone on your game it will do fine.. But a .22 rifle is better suited.

    Rick

  • what kind of scope mount does this gun use ex.weaver/picatinny

  • @888pineapple888

this uses a standard "dove tail" mount. 11mm / 3/8"

    Rick

  • I have a cuestion, Im from ecuador I want to buy this gun in USA because here it is like 4 or 5 hundred dollars, I have a cousin that can buy and come to ecuador with this gun, but i dont know if there is restriction for this guns in the airport or somethings like that, please help me, im sorry if my english is bad, its not my fist lenguage :D

  • @EcuadorAirHunter

You will need to contact your local customs office and also the airline. Other than that, I'm not sure what to tell you.

    Rick

  • Hey there .One question. Hows the scope mounted.I didn't see any railing to mount it on.

    Thanks

  • @ramneekscool

There is an 11mm dovetail cut into the receiver.

    Rick

  • do i have to pay like tax when it gets to the customs?

  • @valteri0007

most likely you will.. contact your local custom's office before ordering anything.

    Rick

  • ok thx

  • the maximum for non licensensed air guns is 10 jule and a 199mps can i still order the gun with 1000fps and get away with it?

  • @valteri0007

you can order it.. but you may not get it through customs.. so I would not try it.

    Rick

  • Does pyramydair ship to sweden?

  • @valteri0007

They do.. you need to confirm with your local customs office as to what is legal to import before you place your order.

    Rick

  • I shot a squirrel on the chest with this gun and it blew a hole threw it!! This gun is amazing

  • What's some new pellet guns from crosman?

  • i have this air gun and i am shooting a soda can at 75 meters really good weapon. killed some doves with it. works great!

  • CHEAP for 1k fps !!!

  • dear rick you should do scope cams of you hunting birds or rabbits etc...

  • @mrlgm100

There is a buddy of mine EdGunUSA that has some great videos that way. I don't have the time or space to do much in the way of hunting, but check out his channel.. He's got some amazing stuff.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb Is a 20mm scope to small for this rifle. I have a barska 3-7x20mm rimfire scope and was wondering.

  • @harriet807

If it is not an airgun scope, you will destroy it by putting it on this rifle. Spend the $40 and get at least get a leapers 4x32 AO scope.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb Thanks, took your advice and got the scope. This gun is fairly loud for my smaller yard. Does the noise level ever drop.

  • @harriet807

with time maybe.. a good tune and lube will help.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb This review convinced me to buy this thing. Thanks.

I have some trouble with sight shooting, seems to be precise not accurate. Did you do any adjustment when you shot? Also do you prefer a scope or open sights for this gun?

  • @ihatepharmecists

The factory scope is really awful... When you put a better scope on the gun you'll be a lot happier.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb Thanks, I have a Leapers 4x32 on it. I am trying to set the scopes crosshairs to be a straight vertical angle. Any advice on what to do with the gun while I do this/ how to hold the gun.

  • @ihatepharmecists

Hold the gun to your shoulder as square as you can and adjust the scope to be as level as possible. I do it just by "feel" for the most part. some guns that have a flat receiver part I'll put a level on it to get the gun level and then use the level on the flat part of the scope's top turret.. this does not always work, but sometimes it can help you get close.

    Rick

  • Sarape stand for the win :)

  • @AirGunWeb2 Is this better than the Ruger® Blackhawk® .177 cal. Air Rifle ? price power and accuracy wise? Please help, would be much appreciated. Also can this kill fox?

  • @Davieboii1

    I'd go Ruger over Crosman.

    Rick

  • Can you use BBs on this?

  • @1Lordi1

No.. they will ruin the gun.

    Rick

  • hi.

can you make a review at the hammerli hunter force 600?

    thanks

    Bram

  • @bramjanse

just about anything's possible.. I'll see where I may be able to get one.

    Rick

  • why is my trigger plastic?

  • @NRXTM

Crosman may have changed things. send me some photos when you can.

    Rick

  • wich do you recommend for plinking and hunting, the cometa 300 or this

  • @MrAirsoftking96

I've not tested any of the Cometa rifles.. so I'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe someone else know?

    Rick

  • continued pt 2...i would also like to add that the inaccuracy is not dude to the scope sliding back, because its already slid back as far as it will go. if the shots very so far about from like 100 yards i would understand, but we're talking maybe 30 yards here. the scope stays in place NOW because it has no more room to go and the mounts have embedded themselves into the back of the gun. actually cut slight groves into the metal. and can you BUY these stop pins,or new mounts (rings) seperately?

  • @DecayedOfferings

You can buy a new scope mount, the leapers accushot 1 piece heavy duty mount would be my suggestion, but it sounds like you may have a dud. I call these guns "Gump Gun" because you never know what you are going to get. Also, review my video on the Stoeger x5 and Take AIM #5. They deal with accuracy and how a spring gun works.

How are you holding the gun when you shoot it?

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb Well, i learned from your other video not to rest the gun on something while trying to sight it, and thats what ive been doing. Sometimes i even fire the gun like this when NOT sighting, and it does seem to be more accurate when i'm holding it as you show in the "take aim" video. And as far as having a dud, are you refering to the scope or the gun itself? I'd hate to have to return a second rifle. Been pretty helpful so far bud, be prepared for more questions lol.

  • @DecayedOfferings

It may be that the whole package is a dud.. this is not that untypical for Crosman... Their quality control on the Chinese stuff has a few holes..

    Rick

  • will it bother my neighbors

  • @NRXTM

What you need to find out is what are your local regulations and zoning laws regarding airguns and noise. That will determine if you can legally shoot and if so, how quite you need to be. Also, I don't know your neighbors. Mine are hyper sensitive to noise, so I only shoot what doesn't cross the legal noise threshold. We need to live and let live so if you are legal, and conscientious about your neighbors, you should be fine.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb ok thanks i looked up the laws for katy tx. where i live and you can shoot airguns if your pellets dont leave your property and sorry for bothering you

  • @NRXTM

You are certainly not bothering me at all. I'm glad that you looked it up.. here in Lake Havasu, AZ if you shoot, willy nilly, they come and take you away in cuffs.. BUT if you have a target range setup.. you are fine.. It is very important to know the laws.. and not assume..

    Cheers!

  • @AirGunWeb now if only walmart would have this gun instock that would be great because they only order 2 and there out in like 3 days

  • i have the Crosman G1 Xtreme that i bought at Dicks, same gun as the gun in your video just without iron sights (which i cannot stand). Anyways, having some terrible slidage issues on the scope. The scope has slid back all the way regardless of how tight i mount the son of a bitch. The little rubber spike on the Scope mount does nothing to keep it in the little hole on the top of the gun. That spike is not ajustable like scope on my last Crosman. Any suggestions BESIDES buying a new scope set up?

  • @DecayedOfferings

Did you take the scope out of the rings and screw the stop pin down into the whole on the receiver? That should stop it from moving.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb thats what i was refering to, the stop pin is not adustable, like on the stormXT scope that i had. its just a litte rubber spike, and it does not screw down. defective, or just cheap peice of junk scope? i would also like to ask you about how many shot does it take for these things to start shooting more accurately? ive been through almost 500 rounds now and sometimes my shots are up to 4 inches apart aiming dead center in the same location.

  • @DecayedOfferings

That should not be rubber.. call crosman. I've only ever seen metal set screw of some type. Sometimes its a point, other times it's just a pin.. in all cases you can access the crew via the rear ring with an allan wrench.

    Cheers.

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb yea its a point but its made of rubber, i kid you not, where the pin should be, and it DID come with the allan wrench to adjust it, just nothing to adjust haha.

  • does this gun have any recoil

  • @MrAirsoftking96

Yes.. watch my stoeger x5 video to learn about how a spring gun recoils and how to overcome it.

    Rick

  • what i like about the pyramid air reviews, is that they tell it like it is. crosman has always been mediocre.

  • how do the crosman destroyer pellet's accuracy compare to the decent accuracy of the premiere hollow points in this gun?

thanks and keep up the good work on these videos (ive watched almost every one)

  • @coyotehunter118

Not sure on the the destroyer pellets.. I need to get some to test with. thank you for the kind words.

    Cheers

    Rick

  • @AirGunWeb do you still have this gun and werent you going to do the tuning vid?

  • @NRXTM

This gun was sent back to PyramydAir.. I do have a tuning video in the works.. If all goes well we will be tuning a Benjamin Trail "all weather."
