  • great work man. but i was wondering if your biceps got any bigger or just more toned? i just finished month 1 today and am getting pretty thin. i cant wait to see my results when i complete insanity

  • insanity is made to power your legs and core and lose and lose weight

P90x is made to build you muscle . adn bulk you up

  • What if your trying to gain weight while doing insanity as in gain muscle weight. And is insanity just for loosing weight because i am skinny but i just want to get muscle. PLEASEANSWER

  • @imZyloHD I'm in the exact same position as you. I've been doing insanity for 3 weeks and ive been doing to build up! I've noticed a stronger core and stronger legs etc.. but i suggest once you finish your 40 mins/1 hour of insanity just hit some heavy weights for 20 minutes.. Insanity is a full budy work out and as this video does prove you will see full body results! keep it up man, its worth it!

  • @Mattilake57 ok man. Thanks for the information and encouragment. Im on my 5th day i just got done with pure cardio and OMG i didn't survive. But thanks ill try my best.

  • Hey man what was ur waist size before and after?

  • I didn't like p90x at all. But i started insanity and wow it's intense.. I weigh 140 pounds and am 6 feet 1 inches tall with a body fat percentage of about 10.5% and i am trying to get down to about 7%. These work outs are INSANE and work so much better at burning fat and getting a nice strong core than p90x was. P90x was just to easy for me. Plan on going to the gym as much as i used to once i get into the swing of insanity.

  • Love your results! Idk if I did the calorie calculation wrong? but I am 20 years old weigh 180 currently, am 5"7 and I came up with 2700 calories if I want to lose weight. Am I correct with my calculation? cause I read on a previous post that you were consuming like 1300 calories or something. Just want to really get the most out of my insanity journey. I am at the beginning of week 4 and the workouts are going smoothly.

  • Good shit. really good. time for you to get MUSCLE. good luck!

  • @BodybuildingCANADA

Lol, that was me two years ago. I've put on about 15 pounds of muscle since.

  • Nice im on day 3 of the insanity program :)

  • Did you drink Shakeology during your workout? Is it really necessary and I just DIED from Day 2 :(, lol.

  • @tweety11226

I did drink Shakeology, but I did a recovery drink after each workout. It helps with the soreness.

    Good luck

  • @tweety11226 i'm on day 3 too! day 2 was killer!

  • Do you think Insanity is a rush to get looks but not strength? And P90x is a slower rush for strength with some looks too? Also did you follow the diet 100%? That's pretty crazy cause I don't eat veggies. I have p90x and all the equipment and I tried following it for 2 weeks but then I stopped. Do you think it's possible to get results w/o following the exact diet? As in I don't eat anything obviously unhealthy like chips or ice cream but I eat rice w/ chicken and pasta w/ chicken and salad?

  • @randeDANDE

Insanity is all about your core and legs. I did get a lot of strength. Insanity is the hardest thing I've ever done. You must follow the diet 100%. No shortcuts.

  • @cdyman27 I might get insanity and sell P90x. I think I can do the diet but maybe not so much Shakeology. I have Whey 100% natrual vanilla protein powder though. I'm not doing so well money-wise right now. How much does $100 of shakeology last me? 3 months? I don't want to take any creatine or anything. Farthest I'll go is protein powder. I look kinda like you on day 1 but a smaller tummy not to the point it's flat but to the point where i have one. Did your arms get bigger or just more toned

  • @randeDANDE shakeology is whey powder based but has tons of other nutritional value. 100$ lasts 30 days if you drink one shake a day. One shake is 150 calories. It is expensive, but i think it's worth it. it tastes pretty good too. Beach Body is releasing Strawberry tropical flavor in February, and it is vegan friendly. I haven't tasted it yet though, so i can't really comment on the flavor.

The nutrition value is available online, so google it and see it you think it's worth it to you.

  • @randeDANDE i work with a nutritionalist and she told me that your overall fitness is 80% diet and 20% exercise. It's really important to follow a healthy diet and eat your veggies.

studies show that too much animal protein causes cancer, and that you can get most of your necessary daily protein from vegetables like beans and nuts

  • Awesome results man! I'm starting week 2 of insanity tomorrow. I'm already very skinny, but it's my new years resolution to do insanity and asylum to get in the best shape of my life, then do p90x to look good for the summer :)

  • @roflcopterabs

You definitely will be in the best shape of your life if you can complete both programs. Good luck

  • hi, i'm also in middle school and im going to try your method for it, but i have to ask did you use shakeology and results & recovery formula to get your results? and how strict did you follow your diet plan? thanks, good job!

  • @PIMPK85

I did not use the Beachbody "results and recovery formula", but I did use a recovery drink after each workout... If you have read any past comments that I have posted, then you would've read that the diet plan is the key to getting your results. They're no shortcuts!!

  • 5 meals a day... Can u tell me about time? from 0 to 24 give me hours to eat :)

  • @MattCreeperCraft

Keep your meals 2.5hrs from each other. Plan your workout so that you're working out an hour AFTER you eat. That way, you're eating your next meal after your workout.

  • @MattCreeperCraft

if you wake up at 7, then eat at 8, 11, 2, 5, and 8.

  • I never stuck with the diet and didn't change too much physically. The workout is great and I did ok but the diet is a huge part of it too; you gotta eat right. Also, while most anyone could do this, you gotta know your body. I was on my last week and my knees were feelin different. The disclaimer at the beginning is no joke, be careful if you have past issues. I'm giving my knees some rest and hoping to jump back in better than before

  • @eeiviletwin

The disclaimer isn't a joke. If you have knee problems, than check with your physician before attempting Insanity. This program may not be for you.

The workout is 25% of Insanity. The diet is insane...

  • I just started Insanity and I do plan on eating the foods it says...but I'm still in middle school so I can't eat 5 meals a day...I can probably eat 3...4 if you count the protein shake I drink after the gym...Is this a problem that I can't eat 5 meals or no? PLEASE REPLY.

  • @ESOxiiNsAnE

Being in middle school isn't an excuse for not being able to eat 5 meals a day. Breakfast before school, a nutrition bar in between class, your lunch, protein shake, and than your dinner... that's 5 meals. You eat till your satisfied, not full.... good luck

  • Awesome! I'm on the second try with Insanity. I did it 2 years ago and loved my results, but took a long ass break (2 years *smh*) from it. Sticking with it this time. Thanks for sharing this video. Very encourging. (:

  • i am 17 and i am starting insanity next week . I am looking forward!!!!

  • Awesome man :D ... are you or have you done asylum?

  • @k13ren

I haven't tried Asylum but I heard it's harder than Insanity. I might be trying it before the summer gets here

  • Congratulations!!! Great job! I started last week my insanity tour, and it's really insane, but I love it !!! :D

  • Damn dude we have almost the same "before" body and I just started Insanity...Hopefully I get similar results! Did you follow the Meal Guide or how did you eat? Thanks!

  • @southsidedude

I followed the meal guide 100%

  • @roflitsjosh

Read your comment again and tell me if it's possible to do all those things AND lose weight. If you say yes, then reread until you say no...

  • I weighed 140 lb's at 5'10" after working as a backpacking guide for a summer in colorado.

A year and a half later in college I'm up to 190 lbs from drinking and excessive pizza binging. How soon will I notice results and how much weight will I lose if I cut the pizza and other nasty foods. I'll cut out drinking a little but I still plan on drinking

  • Hey Im in high school and in my second year of Rugby. Im in pretty decent shape, my muscle mass is higher than average for someone my weight, and id say that im pretty built. I want to trim the fat around my abdominals a little more. AFter completeing Insanity, will i lose weight including the muscle weight i have, or will insanity just fine tune my body to show off my muscle weight?

  • @zolomasta1969

I'm not a fitness expert, but do you do any cardio in your workout? If you do, than just substitute Insanity for your cardio workout and your fat in your midsection will be gone if you're eating healthy. If you don't do any cardio, than first try running on a treadmill and see if that works before you try Insanity.

  • like im 5 10 and i weigh 222, im only 16 so i feel the difference. i was wondering if this is worth it cause i want to change my self. do u already feel a difference in 2 weeks?

  • @WaNtED5553

I don't understand what you mean when you say "I'm only 16, so I feel the difference".

When you asked if I felt the difference after 2 weeks, the answer is yes, but not a drastic difference. I would say between the 3rd and 4th week is when I felt I was getting in better shape. This program is the hardest thing I've ever done. You have to give this program 100% to see results. The workouts are only an hour long each day but the diet is 2 months of hell.

  • @WaNtED5553 i mean im only 16 and i want to feel the difference. What if u eat healthy but you cant follow the plan perfectly?

  • @WaNtED5553 the plan is actually pretty simple. there is a book full of recipees. you pick one of the breakfast recipees for breakfast, one of the lunch ones for lunch etc. if you don't like one vegetable, substitute a different one. it's really more of an idiot proof guideline of what to eat with lots of examples of what a healthy meal looks like, and how much food actually constitutes a meal. i would feel free to experiment with it.

  • @jeremalaria Thank you for replying. Sorry for this late reply but is the nutrition guide expensive? I bought P90x but it's pretty nutty that it wants me to get this and that spot on.

  • You soundin like Shawn T. now hahah i like it

  • hey buddy...

Gr8 achievement.. congrats for tat :)..

But i gotta ask u somethin.. I am 5' 11" tall and weigh 210 pounds, i have to get down to 150 pounds... is this possible from Insanity? Your answer and suggestions wud b very helpful to me...

    Thanks in advance...

  • @bhayya007

60 pounds in 60 days is a lot of weight to lose. I was touching 200lbs and I got down to 165 when I completed Insanity. I did Insanity a second time (Just did Month 2 twice), and I got down to 150, but my friends and family said I was TO SKINNY and looked unhealthy. I am the same height as you, so I wouldn't recommend getting down to 150. Right now, I'm 160 and I feel and look healthy. You'll be happy with your results when you complete Insanity. Good luck

  • @cdyman27

Thanks buddy :).. Now m going for hip hop abs, then slowly graduate to insanity... wat u suggest??

  • Im one month in and i jst ordered shakology cant wait for month 2!!!!!

  • @psppic

Month 1 was to get you in shape for Month 2!!! The first and second day of month 2 was probably the hardest days of the program... just "dig deeper"

  • What kind of food did you normally eat? did you do it in the morning , afternoon, or night? I'm going to start it in a couple weeks after school ends, I want to drop 15 pounds so any tips would be great

  • @w0ngton

I did the workout in the afternoon. I stayed away from all fried foods. I ate a lot of eggs, deli meat, and Healthy Choice meals. When I was hungry in between meals, I ate sunflower seeds. Stick to the program and meal plan and you'll hit your goal

  • Amazing dude, this is really inspiring!, I'm on day 9 and counting but have a problem, I can't stop drinking beer and eating wings! :/

  • @Martinmurielphoto I have the same problem. I love wings and beer!

  • @Martinmurielphoto

Hahaha you gotta give it up. Once you hit your goal, then you can have beer and wings... occassionally lol

  • @Martinmurielphoto noooooooooooooooo the vortex of beer and wings!

go to a wings place and buy a bottle of sauce. put it on your baked potato. really the bad part about wings is that they are fried. the sauces aren't all that bad for you if you get the venigary ones.

  • @takeflight323

I didn't bring the guy down, I just told him that it wasn't the Insanity which gave the results, but the diet alone. Try to read post carefully before responding to one.

  • im 3 weeks into the program should i be seing results? i feel the same ( haven´t skipped a day)

  • great job man ! I'm on my first week of the program and I already feel better. Hope I'll persevere all the way like you !

  • I just got this item and want to try it out now. What did you eat mostly? It's pretty hard to eliminate junkfood lol. I never drink soda cause it's horrible for you but I do eat chips a few times a week.

  • Wow this is great!!!

  • i ordered insanity is should be here in about 2-3 days, and im determined to do it with my full 100% im just wondering if you used shakeology cause i dont have the money for it right now, and if you didnt what did you drink?

  • @DumblifePr

    Gatorade G2 Series Recovery Drink

  • Did you do anything beside Insanity program like weightlifting or so?

  • @almoorn

Just did the Insanity program. It's all you need to JUST lose weight.

  • it looks like you lost all the beer fat (or belly fat) around your waist which is exactly what I'm trying to do! I ordered insanity and it should be here tomorrow, I'm excited to try it!

  • @tomatocars

I did lose aaaaaaaaaaaaalot of beer fat lol

  • You know I dont really watch my diet, besides not drinking soda and eating ice cream, I eat what I want, oh and no Sugary drinks with High Fructose corn Syrup. Anyways I still see results with the workouts, it just takes longer to drop the weight but you still gain muscle and feel the difference in Pants. Insanity really is a great workout program, because you just do it and boom you worked out, its that easy.

  • @Tork789

No offence, but Insanity didn't just help me lose weight, it changed my lifestyle and got me back into shape. I went from a 150lb high school tri-athlete to a party rocking animal that barely exercised and touching 200lbs. Dieting doesn't work for everyone. Congrats on your results but w/o I needed this program to get my results

  • @Tork789 What a jerk ... if this guy got fit and healthy whats the problem with how he got his results??? Every human being on this planet is different .. if you didn't know genes play a big part in the human sculpted body... read your facts bro if this guy is happy with his results why bring him down???

  • hey i just started insanity...i just did the fit test...i was super sore next day...whats the formula you drank and where can i buy it?...and if i can tips on how u much ur new body?

  • @playa4lyfe05

I drank the Gatorade G2 series Recovery drink, which you can get at any grocery or GNC store.... It's been a year since I've finished Insanity and I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life. I do go to the gym 5 days a week, but I still do Insanity workouts at the gym. I've done Insanity so much that I memorized all the intervals. I do Insane abs every other day and some intervals in the upper body weight lifting dvd. Insanity is a great way to get back in shape.

  • Ok, first of all.. who the hell would dislike this video.. someones been drinking the wrong recovery drink.. "Haterade". hahha thats so corny.. But anyway, im on day 8 cdyman27 and im also drinking G2 after workouts and eating clean with maybe a small bite of pizza after my workout haha.. I am seeing excellent results.. My water weight is gone and i wake up looking thinner. I cant keep up with all those in the video.. Was this like you too? When did u start seeing good results, after which day?

  • @McDizzle81

Let's just say I was watching the Asian girl, Tonya, workout more than I was actually doing the workout the first couple of days haha. By the end of the program, I did keep up with Tonya and the rest of them.... I started seeing results by day 20 when I compared my day 1 picture to my day 20 picture. I based my progress by how I felt after the "warm up". By day 20, the warm up actually felt like a warm up. It sounds like you're doing well, good luck towards finishing the program.

  • @cdyman27 LOLOL I watch Tonya a lot to :D She is a hot women.

  • Great video. I saw this when I was considering purchasing the Insanity workout. Your results were so good, that I decided to go with it. I have already made it through the first month, I've lost 11 pounds, 4 inches of my waist and I feel great. Thanks for the inspiration and good luck to anyone else who considers this workout, it's extreme but effective.

  • does isolate protein work as a recovery drink?

  • You look really good. I'm jealous. :D

Does anyone have the link to the nutrition guide!?

  • @bryangul0

    rapidshareDOTcom/#!download|501dt|474552076|Insanity_Nutrition_Guide.pdf|5011|R~5B1E09845264F35AE12B1E63EFF26192|0|0

  • @bryangul0 Type in Insanity nutrition guide free pdf :D

  • does a recovery drink come with the insanity when you buy it online???

  • @magg746

No, you can buy the drink through Beachbody

  • @magg746 the best one I have ever tasted is the prograde workout shake, look it up.

  • Wow best Insanity before & after video so far! Great jobb . you look hot! :] I think I am going to use your method .. keep track of my pictures!

  • @WAJ1989

Lol thanks...Taking pictures everyday is probably the best advice I can give you. Taking the Day 1 picture and seeing it will piss you off so much, but it was fun comparing each day's picture to my Day 1 picture.

    Good luck :-)

  • how hard was it the first day

  • @magg746 I almost puked the first and 2nd day

  • @Fearsomekyle512 i know but like did you ever think if stoping half way through the video

  • @magg746 Sometimes, i just pause it and lay down on my be for like a few min, i usally get sick bc wen the break starts i drink too much water and it shakes around my stomach =p

  • @Fearsomekyle512 yeah so i try my best i dont need to do as much as them like push ups and stuff

  • @magg746 wait i have another problem i looked up the shipping tracking thing and it says it was delivered is there a way its wrong

  • @magg746

The hardest part to do is to convince your brain that you're not suppose to keep up with Shawn T and his hot asian friend. Day 60 though, you'll be just like them.

  • @magg746

Hide the remote. Never push pause. Try to do as much as you can in each interval. If you can only do one pushup, then that's fine. During my first couple of days, I was catching my breath and watching during the last interval. It definitely gave me motivation to get better.

  • @magg746

Let's just say that I was on the floor for an hour because I couldn't get up. Day 2 is the hardest though.

  • @cdyman27 Agreed. I just did day 2 today and it was awful. I'm an athlete and I hardly finished the warmup and was only getting about 5-9 reps tops in some of the workouts for the second and third intervals. I was doing a lot more of catching my breathe at the end of the video. It's hard to convince yourself to not try to keep up with Shaun in the early going because if you do, you end up sucking air for essentially the rest of the video

  • Thanks for posting this. I'm starting tomorrow.

  • i did P90x and went from 216 to 169 im now doing insanity because p90x bores me(having seen it a kabillion times over) and insanity is some HARD stuff. i hope to get as good resuts as you.

  • Its not even about the calories its about the macros, if you dont count macros you wont get results as fast, it give you the ratios in the elite nutrition book

  • I FINALLY FOUND YOU !!! HOLY SHIT !!! =D

  • @JessicaV0611

hahaha thanks for putting me on blast!!

  • hey man my cal intake was 1924.85 cals for day and i plan on doing insanity in the mornings to get my metabolism started and lifting heavy in the evenings...i'll bring in around 250 g/protein a day. I'm planning on losing a little weight and building some muscle at the same time..you think this is possible? should i up my cals a bit?

  • @bigdaddyjay85

I am not an expert when it comes to calorie intake, but if you're trying to gain muscle then you should be eating more calories. I've seen people do Insanity and P90X at the same time and they got crazy results. It was a challenge just sticking with Insanity and keeping up with my plans. If you can find time to lift as well, more power to you.

  • I really like alcohol though.......Can i drink a little?..

  • @evilspeak2292

    I.LOVE.ALCOHOL.

That was probably the hardest thing that I had to give up. I did Insanity over the summer and I can honestly say that the only DAY I had alcohol (Day 19) was on my bday, which I did the "Franzia challenge" lol. Once you start this program and you see results, your motivation to lose more weight will help you prevent those tempatations of junk food and alcohol. When you finish this program, and you drink alcohol, your tolerance is extremely low lol

  • @evilspeak2292 yes you can drink in moderation a few times a week without effecting results much

  • I have a question. I looked up the recovery shake and the price to me is ridiculous. Is it necessary and is there any way I can just substitute something like whey protein while doing this?

  • @TheDisturbed11

Gatorade recovery drink... It does help

  • @TheDisturbed11 It's basically the same as a protein shake. Just buy the powder at the grocery store, and make the shake right after your workout. That's what I do =).

  • WTF! After 3 days you can see an improvement. I've got to get on this.

  • NICE KEEP IT UP

  • Hey , i just wanna ask how many calories did you take in per day?

  • @astraz4

    1100-1300 calories a day

  • @cdyman27

So you essentially starved yourself to get the results? Cause according to the Insanity Nutrition Guide you should have been getting like 2600-2800 calories per day. I think even if you didn't do this program, you would have lost weight on that type of diet.

  • @bigjohn959

I would do your math again on the formula of the nutrition guide. When I first started the Insanity program I was 192, 5'11'', 23 turning 24 yrs old. Do the math and my calorie intake to MAINTAIN my weight was about 2000. My goal was to LOSE 30 lbs, so in order to do that I had to DECREASE my calorie intake. If you read the guide, meals 1,3,5 are 300-400 calories, and meals 2&4 are 200-300. Do the math again and that's 1300-1800 calories that INSANITY recommends to have a day.

  • @bigjohn959

    Formula for men is 66 + (6.23*weight) + (12.7*height) - (6.8*age) = calorie intake

    66 +(6.23*192)+(12.7*70) - (6.8*24) = calorie intake

    66 + (1196) + (889) - (163) = calorie intake

    1988 = calorie intake

I wanted to hit my goal, so I did the min that Insanity recommended. If you're trying to lose weight, then you shouldn't be eating no where near the 2600-2800 calories that you stated

  • @cdyman27

My calculation was actually right. You got 1988, but you missed the last step, where you multiple by your activity level, which for Insanity is about 1.7. So you would get (1988*1.7) = 3380. They then recommend to subtract 500 for losing weight, which would give you (3380-500) = 2880.

In the nutrition guide, they give an example for a 5'5, 40 year old woman, who is 150 lbs, and for her to lose weight she would have had to take 1900 calories per day, which is still more than you did.

  • @cdyman27 1806.1 :)

  • @RyRyTv1 me 2 i get so pumped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nice vid...one ? on the ones that have to work outs at the same day do u have to do them right after u get done with one or can u do one in the morning an one later on..??

  • @Lilg1412

You should. The cardio abs is just an extra 20mins.

  • @RyRyTv1 damn that's commitment, should have just downloaded it online haha

  • good job, im on day 14 today.. i cant wait to post my video

  • it looks like every day your abs are getting more toned is this real

  • I SO GLAD YOU POSTED THIS!!!

I am the same exact weight and Length when I started this!

I did it for one month to shred the weight, then I just started it again and I'm on day 15 and I have already lost 30 pounds!

The key is sticking to the program in it's entire workout's then eat very healthy and if you want and even better body just keep doing the 60 days over and over for even more results! I love it so much I would recommend this to anyone with the will power to look good!

  • @cdyman27 What foods do you need the most to help burn the belly fat and love handles? That's my area that I'm trying to loose, and I want to maximize my results by eating right from now on.

  • @joshuaxlfr

It's all about the protein and staying away from junk food. Small portions meals throughout the day and only eat till you're satisfied, not full.

  • great vid man u got some good results.. ive tried insanity a few times but never made it all the way thru - i restarted and im on day 8 now and i feel my cardio is alot better but my shins hurt like crazy..

  • @monzii305

Your body is just getting use to the insane workouts. If you don't give up, your pain in your shins will slowly go away.

  • good results..im giving this workout a try! which recovery drink do you recommend?

  • @57papo57 insanity doesn't focus on muscle gain.. if you wan to build muscle try p90x.. but if you do insanity and lift wights you will get really defined

  • My muscles are already in shape, I dont need to loss any weight and I want to build muscle, do you recommend Insanity for me??

  • @57papo57 Insanity isn't for muscle building. It's a boot camp style workout that is made for burning tons of calories and boosting your cardiovascular conditioning.

  • @57papo57

If you want muscle, P90X is the way to go. If you want to build your cardio and concentrate just on your core, then Insanity is that program to do.

  • @cdyman27 insanity helps build muscle to just not as much as p90x

  • gj did you lift weights or is this is pure insanity and nothing else?

  • @WhiteMoonLights

    Nothing but Insanity.

  • well its pretty good, but the only difference i saw was the weight loss, no arm definition?

  • @mcluvin28x

Insanity is all about your core. After hit the weights, I have arm definition now.

  • Do you recommend something like this for someone who is about 50 lbs overweight?

I mainly want to do this for weight loss and to start losing weight again, but to also keep me interested in new workouts. I don't necessarily want abs or think I will achieve abs even. What do you think?

  • @kittybookitty insanity is probably 90% cardio it will defenitely help with weight loss

  • @kittybookitty

This program is exactly for your health goals.

  • @darrenthaman

I started seeing results after the 2nd week. If you're not seeing results then try reducing your calorie intake.

  • this stuff is awesome, im 13 and ive been seeing some awesome results

  • couldnt get rid of the farmers tan then?

  • @SiriusLive He has a tank top tan line, not a t shirt smart ass.

  • @APBGrrl

lol I definitely wore my muscle shirt throughout the Insanity process. No more tan lines now hahaha

  • @APBGrrl still qualifies as a farmers tan. unless you're a lady you have no reason to have tan lines from a tank. I just got so bored typing this.

  • @SiriusLive eh, you mean he should have just went shirtless then and gotten a tan. I get it :)
