The game was fantastic, so much achieved on the humble Vic. I'd usually turn the volume down so not to go mad listening to it repeat every 10 seconds or so ;) Hey marksreb, sorry not seen your reply (11 months ago)! The music is obscene. I do remember the game being rather fun though. It's a miracle my mother didn't throw the computer out of the window though, what with having to listen to this cacophony on repeat for hours on end...
well i couldn't write music and had only 200 bytes for the data, so yes looking back its bad. but what do you expect in 3000 bytes ? .. at least its 100% machine code and not written in basic with machine code routines. ;o)
@marksreb Well if you were really a VIC 20 programmer, you would know that the computer had an overall of 5K memory for code, not 3.5k which was just for basic programs.
Rockman's music must be a candidate for worst video game music ever! Never mind the merits or otherwise of the game, the music is even worse than the title screen of Manic Miner!
Oh, you should port this for mobile phones!

The music was quite annoying mostly as its such a short repetition. We wrote the remake, the original was credited by M&S Srebalius.
