@mossfitz: thanks. Do you know whitch level this is? i need a barock piece for my entrance examination in Hannover and Hamburg. Know I have got Beethoven opus 79 no.1 and Bartok Mikrokosmos no 153. sry about my english.
@pianojetaime I don´t know at what level this would be placed - i am mostly self-thought - but if you can master the first movement of Beethoven`s Sonata Number 25 Opus 79, this fugue should not be too challenging. Scarlatti is not a natural for me as most of his music demands extreme technical precision. This piece can be played more "singingly" and therefore slightly more freely than many of his other works. I should record it again - this version is a bit stiff and scrappy
@pianojetaime Its a bit of a bad habit. i occasionally use the pedal where it helps smooth over fingering breaks - i´ve reduced that a fair bit since recording this, but i still find the rising octaves towards the end dont live up to the build-up without some pedal. The piano has a messy sound anyway and needs a lot of work before i record again.
@mistou26 Thanks for your kind comments. Your recording sounds well practiced and good. i hope to have the time to organise a better sound sometime in September - by then my interpretation might be more even and solid too.
The piece seems to imply some mysterious potential in music - a path not taken or something...
@haaden2bis Yes, i only have a photo camera - though i just heard it is possible to record directly to the computer sound-card with a plug-in mike, so i might try that when i can get my hands on one.
