  • To be fair...we really shouldnt say Arch Enemy "stole" the song per se, cuz technically its still Michael Amott and its still done very nicely by Angela (i know theres a lot of debate about her in the death metal world) however she is one of my main vocal influences and i believe she does a very good job at what she does and holds her own in the genre. \m/

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH THE PROGRESSIVE GIRL!!!!!!!

  • Carcass> Spiritual beggars> Arch enemy.

  • Carcass stole from Arch Enemy???????? haha wow! Some of the inventors of what we now know as death metal! Punk kids need to learn about the godfathers of death metal before dismissing old school.

  • fuckin sick solo

  • Very nice, I must say.

  • hey dumbass arch enemy came out in 96 and this album came out in 91

  • These guys ripped off Arch Enemy.

  • @antdigger lol XD fun

  • @antdigger More like Amott stole some Carcass riffs put them into Arch Enemy's music.

  • @shockofhyperbole He stole his own riffs? What a great idea!!

  • @JonasLuks idiots these days hey?

  • @antdigger lol, Arch Enemy sucks balls.

  • @antdigger Who?

  • @antdigger amm, 1. Michael Amott was the second guitar player in Carcass when this came out in 1991, 2. Michael Amott later formed Arch Enemy in 1996 with his brother. 3. Michael Amott took the style he helped shape into early Arch Enemy. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT

  • @antdigger trololol

  • @antdigger Successful trollin!

  • I see Death Note in the related videos. Cool.

    Carcass? Also cool.

  • [3:33] - Eargasm all the way to the end of the song.

  • They were awesome before they knew it.

  • This song is sick! Totally sick...

  • Dammit headphones!! Stay on!

  • Best death metal song ever.

  • 2:02

    crab and goyle

  • Whoa, what am I seeing there on the right? A Bjork-Carcass collaboration?! I need to listen to that immediately.

  • this album was the perfect stepping stone between their goregrind and melodic dm times, just listen to the solos on the album, definatley heartwork era and their are grinding parts that sound exactly like reek and symphonies, best carcass album

  • my favorite death metal band... Listened to this when I was 11 years old

  • @DarpSyx me too! i was doing like my my older brother.

  • @DarpSyx I listened to this as a fetus bro =P

  • 2:18 what a great job by Mr. Bill Steer........

  • This will make thw McShitty go broke.

  • I love all of Carcass' albums. Vulgar lyrics with melodic instruments. What could be better?

  • Aggressive, jagged, raw... yet melodious. Death metal perfected right here.

  • @schmdchrs such a departure from their earlier shit, but yeh man, still so agressive.

  • @schmdchrs Yeah....wish it could all be like this.

  • incredible

  • Between their first two albums and their last two official albums, Carcass hit the nail on the head in a unique way that no other metal band did. Only Carcass did it and for a brief time. I'll admit to being more of a Heartwork/Swansong fan, than Carcass's first two goregrind albums, but those first two albums were great, as well. I think Necroticism struck a perfect balance for everything that Carcass is.

  • @nomorepeopleband i think that heart work was their best album in all the time, in fact i think that heart work is one of the best music works in the world and overall in all genres

  • @cobsitosos heartwork is cool, but it can't beat this

  • @nomorepeopleband

IMO it's up there with Unquesitonable Presence, Human, Day to Night and Dawn of Possession as being some of the finest death metal records to strike this amazing genre.

  • @nomorepeopleband indeed, this masterpiece combines both goregrind stuff on their first 2 albums, and melodic stuff ffrom their later two albums, lovely song by the way

  • @nomorepeopleband agreed, sir.

  • The music compositions and intelligence of this album, make it a "top-10 of all times" piece of art.

  • wow i only used to listen to carcass's first couple albums of goregrind but this is some awesome death metal shit

  • wow, a must have in your metal library.. great album

  • Fuck yeah, This song is great !!

  • HAHAHAHHA this album has the catchiest tracks

  • i think i believe this is the best metal song by the best metal . evar.

  • Sick ol tune

  • Arch Enemy did this song justice :'3

  • I remember buying this only a few weeks after buying Napalm Deaths Harmony Corruption and thought all my Chritmases had come at once. The next month i bought Pradise Lost Gothic and then Entombeds Clandestine, i was a bit of a late starter in Grindcore but it was the Genre that i most enjoyed. Great to hear it all again. Thank you to the people who post this stuff. I have the CD's but are too lazy to learn how upload..

  • ABSOLUTE GENIUS!

  • before there was surgery with anesthesia, there was surgery with dull unwashed bloody scalpels, and your only source of pain relief was "prescription grade" moonshine (corn liquor)... 50/50 chance you died that day; 50/50 chance you died the next

  • This is kinda what I like to refer to as a Deathgrind band :D

  • this is about as hardcore as music can get

  • i cum when the first riff starts

  • i like both version impossible to make a simple choice!!!

  • Comment removed

  • ahhh you young lil tackers HAHA..sounds like black metal/thrash metal haha metal died in the early 90's....everything since is a mix mash of whats already been done..

  • Great classic grind core ... now grind core is a failure

  • @carcass1976 They were never grindcore ..Death metal

  • @HipHopHaterRock4ever

First albums were gore grind, isn't it :) ? Moreover, forget about categories ... Carcass is a great band like a Napalm Death :)

  • @carcass1976 I gave Napalm a few chanced but I wasnt feelin it. The only death metal bands im big on is Death,Carcass,Morbid angel, and a couple others. I dont like Obituary either. I kinda like Cannabal corpse

  • @HipHopHaterRock4ever check out turned inside out by obituary, thats a good one, trust me =P

  • (Personally)

Top 2 riffs of all time.

    1. Out on the tiles - Led Zeppelin

  • nice shit mate great post!

  • @GWLIV Thank you

  • Best album of all carcass

  • my goddamn favorite!

    }; D

  • @TTTO3 Please explain to me how born of osiris, veil of maya, between the buried and me or the faceless are rehashes of the terrible bands like slayer and sepultura.

  • @PtH888999 I didnt catch the comment you are responding to but I hope that whole Slayer being terrible thing is sarcastic, if only for the sake of the generation that will inherit society

  • @theartofdoom

SLayer is awful and they're posers, i don't mean like "lol poser kid" I mean one of their members is a catholic.

Their instrument work is just abysmal, no melody, no technicality, just a bunch of tremolo and triplets.

  • @PtH888999 They're rehashing Cryptopsy and Suffocation, adding in a bunch of breakdowns and faux-tech wankery. Their style was dead before they even started playing it - Try Internal Bleeding. Fuck the falsehoods you faggot GORE NOT CORE. The only thing terrible is your taste and your life. \m/

  • @smokedogg870

Suffocation is awful, you must not have ears if you believe between the buried and me sounds like ANY of those bands. Try listening.

  • @PtH888999 Born of Osiris, Veil of Maya, and The Faceless, Slayer, and new Sepultura are shit. You listen to shit. You favourite shit videos. WoW is shit. MW2 is shit. Etc.

    You are a faggot.

    Faggot.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow

Born of Osiris , Veil of Maya, and the Faceless are objectively talented bands. Slayer, Sepultura, and MW2 are as awful as the shitty punk bands in your favorites. Let me give you some tips. It's not hard to spam power chords while talking about how mommy hates you and george bush is the devil.

Punk music is awful, thrash is awful, your taste in music is terrible.

World of Warcraft is an incredible game which revolutionized it's genre, a well polished game.

  • @PtH888999 Dream Theater is talented too. Doesn't mean they're good. In fact, they suck. Born of Osiris is extremely generic. Looking at one of their videos, what do I see? A bunch of faggoty looking people. One of them even has his lobes stretched. What do I concluded? Generic trendy shit for generic trendy poseurs.

The Faceless. See above. Generic "technical" bullshit.

Veil of Maya. EVEN MORE GENERIC BULLSHIT.

WoW is to true Warcraft fans as those three bands are to true Metalheads. Shit.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow born of osiris is generic? i always kinda figured they were thinking out of the box with their music. hmmm. Micheal keene from the faceless is an incredible guitarist. and they take alot of their influences from jazz, like cynic. and you cant call cynic generic. but i would agree that dream theater sucks. regardless of the talent involved in their playing. its not my kind of music.

  • @mynameithmaynard They both are. Talented or not. It's a point where Technical Death Metal is so overused and overrated that if you've heard one band, you heard them all. ESPECIALLY The Faceless and Born of Osiris. The guys in Born of Osiris even look like they're some metal/deathcore shit.

  • @ThazuaBlackarrow i can see that with the faceless... a little. but born of osiris is pretty original, at least they were when they came out. as far as i know. tech death is overused though. ill admit that.

  • @MrFatboy81 This is like a mix of Prog, Death, Groove, Thrash, and Black Metal, with a dirty edge. Some call this Deathgrind? or is it just Grindcore?

  • brother this is the music that made me a metal head lol 33 and still rockin carcass etc on my drive to work and at stoplights with punkazz pussies at stoplights listening to c/rap i bust this shite haha.

  • you can throw all of your death metal away. This album ties it up neatly.

  • kriggerman...right on!!!

i dont listen to much new metal for that reason...its all a rehash of the glory days..carcass, morbid, entombed, sepultura, slayer etc etc

    carcass and entombed...gods of grind..

  • kriggerman..its just straight up brutal.

  • thanks man!

  • My favorite guitar solos of all time.

  • never out of date still rock love it as much as when it came out all them years ago, now am showing my age...

  • god f¨......song

  • this is the kinda shit iv been wanting to hear my whole life... doesnt have the same squel as new grind iv heard (unless im not hearing grind core) and it feels more like black metal and thrash metal combined... i love it.

  • @Kriggerman I agree, Carcass' earlier stuff was too fast, simple and thoughtless. It was "real" grindcore, but I just cant stand that kind of music honestly.

  • @Possesssed666 Yea, that music can get old, its good in small doses, I dont really know any true hard on grindcore fans.

  • @Possesssed666 Carcass was always Death metal when they came out the bullshit subgenres like grindcore and all those horrible sub genres were thought of. They are just as heavy and brutal as Death and Death is Death metal

  • @Possesssed666 I listen to grind only when i lack apetite.

  • 1:07 yes, im sexy :D :D always cracks me up

  • When Metal was made for the love, not the scene.

  • carcass are great, real good when they made when they grind and now Death Melodic. Brutal.

    So good...

  • Death metal, melodeath, goregrind, grindcore, blackened viking progressive thrash, technical leprechaun atmospheric norsecore, who gives a tit. It's extreme metal, and it kicks ass.

  • carcass is fucking death metal. it's an insult to call the them anykind of core.they aren't grindcore.

  • Have you ever listened to Reek of Putrefaction or Symphonies of Sickness, by any chance? Very heavy grind presence on those albums. Of course, you may also want to take into account that Thrash, Death, and all your 'extreme' genres of Metal were largely derived from Hardcore Punk, as well.

  • @BurningSaviour I love how all the punk fans think that just because Jeff Hanneman said he was influenced by it.

  • @MutedChord Not to mention the countless other artists who've admitted the same, or have paid tribute to the fact in their own various ways. They don't think it simply because Jeff Hanneman admitted it - they think it because it's a simple fact of the matter.

  • @MutedChord If you listened to Thrash or any other extreme metal genre you would hear and see some of the punk influence. If you did not, you are stupid or blind or both. Hell. Moshing was a punk thing before the more extreme metal bands started bringing it to their shows.

HELL. Even some NWOBHM bands brought in the punk influences. Motorhead, Tank, early Iron Maiden (Di'anno Maiden is best), etc.

Lots of people think that because it's a fact. Learn shit.

  • @wintersunmetalhead early Carcass is goregrind and it's not an insult to call them grindcore

  • @wintersunmetalhead You have "Wintersun" in your name. You can't say anything about anything with any credibility.

  • so many covers of this song but none is good as original.Psycroptic was close but the vocals ruined it for me

  • is pure death metal period... they called themselves as death metal in a interview in guitar world...

  • They've been all over

  • Whyk does this comment have a thumbs down ? They were in their death metal period !

  • actually nutmonkey ... your wrong so some extent. They are actually the pioneers and often regarded the fathers of Goregrind, basically the same instrumental resemblence to Grindcore, except for the lyrics which are much more grusome and pathologic. This is true of their first two albums. But i do agree with you about this album, it is considered death metal, along with heartwork.

  • @bturci0 I consider them more of a death metal band than a grindcore band. It actually bugs me when people refer to Carcass as merely a grindcore band. They were better at death metal than they were at grindcore anyway imo.

  • Comment removed

  • carcass is deathmetal not grindcore wtf

  • No one listens to anal cunt.

  • ftw

  • yeah man this is the good stuff......

  • This isn't Thrash metal idiot.

  • oops, didn't put that up there my brother did.

  • @KandyKisses8 Oldschool Grindcore?

  • @KandyKisses8 deth metal

  • @KandyKisses8 no but this album sounds real thrashy.

  • this album is definately carcass' best, the one between theyre grindcore and Melodic death metal periods

  • Carcass #1!!

  • FUCK OFF!!! and Enjoy

  • Can anyone recommend me a genre of music that isn't infested with scene kids or morons?

Shame on you, ruining the music with your spiteful babbling.

  • You could just not give a fuck and listen to the music despite the moronic fans.

  • Comment removed

  • @KyUuTiP Brutal Death Metal is a shitty genre taken over by br00tal faggots and scene kids.

  • just avoid anything with the word core in it.

  • grindcore is sick

  • excellent song! this one got me into Carcass. the album cover art just inspired me to do something really cool....

  • Solos here make my soul cry in ecstasy.
