1. soon as you drive on the highway, you lose $10 grand value.

4. on a rainy day someone crashes into your shit and your insurance tells you that car wasn't worth that much.

doesnt sound that nice, im not being an asshole. Just my dada has an 09 carrera s with the sports exhaust system and it sounds much better. U might think o yea well its the sports system but i think that 3 yrs later the standard exhaust should sound as good as the sport 3 yrs ago. Just my opinion, and dont like the styling as much its not as aggressive. But hey the 997 generation was heard to beat.

Not much difference between the front of the 997 and this. But I love the tail lights. 993 is, however, still my favorite, also because it was the last of the breed with an air cooled engine rather than the new water cooled from 996 onwards.

@ndmblackblade Stating that the back-half of a Porsche 911 is like an Aston Martins is utterly ridiculous and honestly deserves no rebuttal. They look nothing alike in shape or form, angle or curvature. I recommend you get your eyes checked soon.

Also designing a car, even the 911, is harder than you'll certainly ever know. More goes into the designing of a car than just looks. They aren't one of the best selling brands of sports cars for no reason.

Btw, Top Gear asked for their material back.

This new tail lights and interior looks alot more enhance than my old 997.2 C4S. They have revised the suspension so it performs well like the 997 GT3. I'll get the new 991 GT3/RS next. I'm sure the new GT3/RS will blast.

@nielsboex $40k isn't that bitter a pill to swallow.. Come to Australia and u will pay $280k for the Porsche Carrera 4s $650k for the 458 Italia, $780k for a Lamborghini Aventador.. Hell i just paid $165k for an AMG C63 coupe.. And i know of places like Singapore that cars are double if not sometimes triple the prices we have here in Australia..

@nielsboex Can bw for two reasons: 1) Goverment taxes imposed on the first buy (the dealer buying the car to the manufacturer) and 2) Market trend and positioning. If europeans (like I am) are willing to pay 120.000€ for a 911, you simply cannot sell it for 80.000€ because that is BMW M3 money and Porsche is supposed to be a bit upmarket against BMW. Maybe in the states they have lower prices because american cars are cheaper and people are not willing to pay that much for an import
