I don't if it is something in the video, but it appears that the gearing is backwards in this locomotive. The engine is turning forewards, but the wheels are going reverse.
@wsshay - I've seen at least one other model (HO scale) doing that - apparently some Climaxes were set up to work like that. I'll have to research it further.
