to clear things up on the tib being slow for a v6, keep in mind, its only a 2.7.... there are 4cyl motors that are very close to that size that put out alot less power, they are torquey, horse power sells cars, but torque wins races, and 181 torque isnt bad for a 2.7 i keep with new si's in my tib all the time

there are only 2 tiburons running in the 14-13 range and one has 212 NA hp im not saying that a lancer would be able to run that non turbo easily but im sayign its not like there are alot of tibs doing it either

intake, full exhaust 09 2.0L lancer 14.8 1/4 not bad! gts lancers with bolt ons are pulling better times than ralliarts with intake, exhaust & tune. & they havent been out near as long in time they will be putting out impressive times n/a

new ones are too bubbly and in my opinion are not really a true lancer in the fact that over 6 other cars share the platform and engine..... and stock they are quicker and i think part for part are too cuz the new lancers weigh more

thats cuz a tib v6 has 170 horsepower and lancers have 152 or something so there not much behind.... i almost bought a 09 tib gtp or w/e but decided on the lancer gt instead good choice i think

i just say it from personal expirience . my freind has a 05 xrs . whit basic mods and we race v6 tibs and they can just keep up . maybe ur just a really good driver . and new lancers are just no competiton at all

lol xr's and xrs's are 2 different beast about a 45hp difference and VVTL-i (toyota vtec) a v6 tib should rape a xr but xrs good luck but i dont understand why tiburons are rading 4 bangers. I wanna see 1 v6 tib race any other same year v6. everyone talks so much about toyota but a v6 camry or even an accord vs a tib might be good
