Can I use it without ice?...like say i just want to use it as a blender to make a protein shake in the morning....there is a setting for that orrr?

i've never made a slushie with it, but i imagine it could based on how it crushes the ice.

at 1:42 you can kind of get an idea of the consistency, except if you use less liquid it will be obviously less runny than in the video.
