  • Thumbs up if you got here from family guy

  • The reason part of this looks like the movie is because they are doing an actual dance, the virginia reel. It says in the script that the dancers are supposed to perform that dance at points in this song.

  • Buddy Hackett is TURNING IN HIS GRAVE BECUZ OF THIS ABOMINATION

  • Very good job by the Marcellus. Though silly, this song is extremely hard to sing well because it is so high. Very well done.

  • I hate when people try to the exact same dance from the movie.... it's not the real thing it's just what was in the movie

  • Actually, the choreographer for the movie was the original choreographer for the 1957 Broadway show as well so I'm thinking that the dance in the movie IS the real thing. Especially since the Shipoopi didn't exist before the show anyway.

  • I'm impressed, that was REALLY good!

  • haha i'm in parkland! hehe. i love this song(:

  • Great Marcellus! :0)

  • Kids got a good voice! Go get 'em!

  • wow you need someone who know how to use moving lights in a musical.

  • wow, that was good, but a bit like the movie. not all of it, but there is a bit.

    great job guys :D

  • HA! That was Surprisingly good; good job everyone!

  • so like i got a part in this play so i was wondering if the townspeople are in this sence? i would really appreciete if someone could tell me =]

  • That was great! I wish it had been the whole performance of Shipoopi, but from this video, everyone did a great job!

  • Hey Holly! its that girl who sits next to Allie in psych and next to you in calculus lol

who was the main guy in this? was it chris mills? jack was only a sophomore for this one.

  • The guys dance section was very well done...guys in high school productions tend to half-ass it, but this one, all of them seem to be in the moment. Great job everyone!

  • We're just polishing off our Shipoopi for the summer theatre!

I'm just a friend of Tommy's in the musical.

  • Wonderful job. :)

  • Cool. We're doing Music Man Jr. this year.. You guys did a great job.

  • so am i this summer

  • Who do you play? I play Tommy Djilas in ours.

  • i don't know yet,auditions are tommorow, i'll let you know as soon as i can :)

  • 'Kay. We had Auditions a few weeks ago and I have rehearsal tommorow. It's pretty fun.

  • yeah i found out i'm not in, i got sick at auditions and just went through it, yeah i didnt make it

  • o.o and that would be why i hadnt heard of it... I would have been away at college ... My little bros go to Alvin HS. ^^

This is cool! I hope to see more soon!

  • wow, for once a Marcellus who isn't horribly tone deaf... kudos.

  • dang i wish our guys had half that rhythm. lol.

  • Pearland HS? Sweet!

    What year was this presented?

  • I'm casted as Alma. I hate my partner for this dance, though. He's a perv.

  • Girl, i know wat u mean! I'm alma and my hubby is a freak!

  • haha my school is doing this.

    nice job ya'll.

  • this is really good!

  • That was ok...

    Our production was better ;)

  • wow the colors of the lighting was really different. thanks for the inspiration i would also sugest u change the lights around a little . the dancing is really cool though!!

  • Finally!

the first time i actually see a group of people doing "The Burning Castle" correctly.

  • I'm Marcellus too!! WOW! I'm gonna love singing that part

  • hahahaha im marcellus in my school musical too...soo high eh?? sucks where ya from?

  • i hate being marcellus!...the vocals are insane and apparantly i'll 'mess up the piano' if i sing it down an octave?!

  • I was Marian and FREAKED out during this song. Our dance was REALLY fast and I had to be lifted at the end and I hate being lifted. But the guy who played Harold broke my shoe in dance lessons! I did NOT want to dance with him again.

  • omfg! xD I play Marcellus in The Music Man. I was so happy and shocked at the same time! The cool thing is is that I'm a girl! But the cast told me I can sound like a dude. Didn't know what to say to that... Oh well! I get to sing Shippoopi. xD

  • You guys have a cool stage

I was just casted as Ethel and this is an awesome dance scene nice job

  • Marcelous has a great voice!

  • aw, i did this in middle school , our's was silly though good job thoiugh well done

  • go mattie!lol

  • lol was anybody recording the one where jack's voice cracked?

  • Ehhh, I'm in a production of The Music Man, and we're not doing the steps from the movie. Our choreographer, Rick, came up with some better stuff, in my opinion.

  • Some are from the movie, some are from the stage version, and some are original. I'm sure your local guy, rick, is far better than the professionals who choreograph for broadway and hollywood.

  • in this song we did the trio it was fun and a little dance with a horn this is my favorite we pick two songs from shipopi and wells fargo wagon for anotheer play a grl polayed withdropt she sings good

  • Awesome boys' chorus!! You guys are terrific!!

  • Thanks! Actually, don't tell anyone, but the girls outnumbered the boys about 5 to 1. We just have a few REALLY strong/loud guy singers.

  • Well actually, ALL of you folks did a great job, but I was specifically talking about the *dance* parts that the boys were doing by themselves. I used to teach musical theater in a public high school and I would have LOVED to have had guys that could dance half as good as you all did! Terrific choreography, too! An all-around great job! Nice work!

  • Thank you!

We spent FOREVER on Shipoopi. I wasn't one of the dancers in it, but they had extra practices all over the place. I swear, before we opened, we would run the play, do Shipoopi about twenty times, then run the rest. We spent a lot of time on the other dance scenes too, but Shipoopi is the biggest, so we put most of our effort into it.

  • ahh. my school jsut did the music man. i played marian. it was such a fun musical! :)

  • ooo we did too. these ppl are better tho. lolz

  • Lucky! There were way too many people for me to have a chance at being Marian. I think almost 200 kids tried out, around 170 made it, then a ton of people quit and we ended up with 80-90.

  • i tried out for marian too, but i got hmm what was his mame i think Olin or something and im a female =] ha!

  • im studying music man!
