  • A good informative review.

Does the transmitter have a PC connection? Some of my older film cameras don't have a hotshoe. Thanks.

  • great review. just what i needed to know.

  • Great informative video! thanks ,, but i gotta tell ya,, the randomness of your cat walking thru was the best part of the vid.. haha

  • will this work with nikon sb 600 speedlite?! thank u

  • hey, my triggers wont turn on. do u believe that the batteries may be faulty?

  • thanks to your video i got mines today...i'll be back with test results....

  • this trigger will work with the nissin di 866 professional and the newest di622 because of the newest filmwearupdate on them

  • Does it work with Nissin Di622 Speedlite

  • Do you switch 1 and 2 - Ke on and in the same direction or only switch number 1 on

  • haii mate i'm so excited with your video, anyway what type of your umbrella stand adapter / Umbrella Swivel Adapter? where you bought that? thanks...

  • @NoMoreScanning I bought it from Flash Zebra, hes a great guy to deal with and is very active on a few photography forums. The cheaper one is all you need for this application. youtube won't let me post a link, pm me if you can't find it

  • sir ive been thinking which one to buy. the CTR-301 or the RF-602. i like the 301 coz it has a light receiver trigger and the 602 has none but it can be use as a wireless trigger. which one do you think is the best sir? thanks for post this video.

  • @davidtejones I dont have experience with the RF-602 but I think I would use the wireless trigger more than the light receiver trigger

  • @k4show thanks you sir for the reply. one more question please. have you tried the YN-04 flash trigger?

  • these are great.

i had to do a mod on them because they weren't working with my vivitar 285hv's. but ive had these for awhile now. and the problem just started. but now it's fixed and works good. good price. and works well.

  • How did you mod them?

Mine arent working either, please share im desperate

  • i got a piece of wire. and attached it to the negative side of the battery plate. then placed the other side of the wire under the hotshoe plate. held by 4 screws. all u have to do is unscrew the plate. then put the end of the wire under it and tighten it. there's a group on flickr. but i can't find it.

  • does this thing work with nissin di622?

  • @iamnotthatsmart no clue to be honest try contacting the seller on ebay

  • @iamnotthatsmart Yup. IT does work win Di622. just make sure you Di622 has an upgraded firmware.

  • поцелуй котэ))))

  • i was going around the bend on what triggers to buy but thanks to you and your A+ review iam going to get these thanks ;-)

  • No problem

  • Thanks for the review. Gave me a bit more confidence to try out these triggers:-)

  • yess

  • I just got these off ebay, does the transmitter come with a battery?

  • Random cat shot!

  • Nice review.

Quick tip about the tipping over part, just turn the flash head the other way (backwards) and it won't topple over anymore (counterweight)

  • Thanks :)

  • I got my set now and I love them. Havent got the problem with the newer flash unit tiping over with my Sb-600, works like a charm.

  • hi, can you pm me on what light stand umbrella adaptor u used to place this on the light stand? thanx a bunch

  • Thanks for the review man. I also ordered last week exactly the same set, the same brand at eBay & the item location is HK. preferred this one over the PT-04.

  • Great review. I surely don't want to sell my kidney for a pocket wizard(Or do I?) lol. I'm new to 'strobist?' style photography and really want to get into it. I have the 430ex as well and from the review it looks pretty reliable. Compatible with the good ol rebel xt? Last thing I want to do is fry my hot shoe(Possible?). Replies would be great. Thanks!

  • These work good with the Rebel XT. It is very reliable, I have not had a single misfire other than at ridiculous ranges.

  • If you rotate the flash head on the 430EX 180 degrees it'll stand without tipping over ;-)

  • excellent review, I just got mine. they work great! The best Poverty Wizards out there. If you ever thought of getting into strobist stuff these are your best bet.

  • Awsome review! Making me wanna buy a set and try it out.

  • Yeah Kevin, nice review man. nice review.

  • hi, i've seen the pocket wizards before and they're phenomenal. i've been meaning to go check them out at this photographer expo near GTA. i've also heard some great stuff about the CTR-301P. i'm not deep into photography so im not planning on spending too much on my trigger (i have an older canon flash like yours). do you think i should shell out the cash on the pocket wizard or spend less on the CTR-301P. like i said, im not do deep into it so i dont need professional quality stuff. thanks!

  • Yup these are perfect for that application, I felt the same way when I bought these.

  • Looking at the video again (by the way you handle them on a hardwood floor) that they are pretty durable pieces of equipment! Has anything gone wrong with these triggers? I've seen a lot of other triggers turn to garbage after being mishandled.

  • Nope nothing gone wrong, they are built really well for their price.

  • I really like this review! It shows how versatile the triggers are compared to the ones i've been looking at in the stores. Do you think you could do a demonstration with these triggers to show us how it works in different situations and setups? Great review by the way, I'm definitely putting this amongst the top choices when i go out next to buy triggers. Also, i have a Vivitar 285hv flash in my arsenal, could you recommend some good ways to use these triggers with the flash for a great shot?

  • I will see about that in a future video, a good setup is to mount the Vivitar to the receiever and then to the umbrella swivel which then hooks up to the lightstand. You can then put a reflective or shoot through umbrella onto the stand. You then just move this stand around for different effects. I find a shoot through umbrella and off to the side gives good effects.
