I have a Ipod Touch 3rd generation. I just entered my account and password for my gmail and it found everything. I even did a test and found it deleted the gmail email on my ipod touch and my gmail account on my computer.

So i guess i dont need the imap function?

You have to type in everything else before it pops up.

I just got the new generation of iPod touch, and this was not required...Gmail messages show as read after being opened on iPod.

hey i was wondering why i cant set up my gmail on my newly jailbroken 1.1.4 touch. i had 1.1.3 before and i downloaded the iphone apps specially for 1.1.3 through ipodtouchmasters source and now i tried to do the same thing for 1.1.4 and it's saying i cant connect through SSL. any clue what my problem is?

I had the same problem when I jailbroke my phone with Ziphone. Try iLiberty instead.

i used ziphone again and it worked, i for some reason it shows on my ipod that i have 1.1.3 but i really have 1.1.4 so i downloaded the wrong version apps. it works now
