@Hawok86 yer it is D tuning ...... just used my guitar tuner near my speakers and its pretty accurate even with drums in the background

Yes, it's actually drop D. Just the low E string is de-tuned.

He's using a Ran there but it's now made by Gibson under the Epiphone brand name. They are the same guitars he uses on stage, exactly, not a cheaper version of them.

what pick you use is a matter of preference people. using the same pick as jeff waters will not make you play like him. thats like same "hey, if i use the same strings as paul gilbert, will i be able to string skip as well as he does?"

I did some research

Shocking Dunlop uses the nylon standard dunlop picks that are 88mm.

I have a 50mm laying around. Seems very flimsy and cheap but if it's good enough for Jeff than hey. It's g2 be good.
