Not really, but it's a great song as well. Pretty funny how well such a modern band as Wolfmother stacks against the classics. Song is mostly in Cm if anyone wondered, chorus is in Fm.
@MQRED011 definitely some pink floyd in there.... but it's their own unique mix of so many good things that... I just f'in love this music! This song is a weapon of mass distraction from everything I should be doing today. I'd much rather just listen to it over and over.
Okay so I was riding my bike on a dike (yes Im Dutch) and the sun was going down and i was wearing these most awesome sunglases, makes everything look 50 times as beautiful, lennon would have been jealous! And this song suddenly appeared on my iPod and I think towards the end of it I started crying a bit, it was so fucking beautiful and epic
@TheNexus18 The sun will start to burn, the earth will cease to turn, we'll fill up existance's urn, watchers of the universe will learn. I got issues too.
@chasseman45 listen to the album and their first, things that come to mind: The Who, Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Captain Beefheart, Hawkwind, Jetyhro Tull, Boston, Iron Maiden... basically every frikkin band that are good from '65 to '85. Wolfother are the best thing to happen for prog AND rock since Yes.
@chasseman45 In my opinion this is a bit more sophisticated but, I know what you are saying there is a lot of inspiration drawn from many Artists here.
@ShoveDaddy I agree with nexus they are definately not dead. If they were then explain how they could have possibly done that song Fell Down A Hole for the Alice In Wonderland soundtrack.
The Cosmic Egg 2 CD, is in my top 5 album list of all time. Songs 1-16 are all great. It is so rare to be able to play a cd and not have to skip half of the songs. For me, Cosmic Egg deffinetly is on level ground with the my other top five stuff from the early to mid 90's. I really, really hope they keep putting out more music and Andrew S., don't change a fucking thing.
this song is what I would like to call: epic epicness of an epic journey through time and space in a forest full of mushrooms and gnomes with red noses during Easter in the heart of the sun
This is one of my faves!
