  • there are some who need these drugs, but 90% of it is bogus

  • Why haven't they sourced where they get their figures from? Kinda discredits the doc, even though I very much agree with what the interviewees and general stance of the documentaries.

  • the vid.'s info says that it "threatens to destroy the whole civilization"...I feel more like its all PART of this civilization. Its not an invasion. Its a growth on this sick society. The sooner we realize that its all one intertwined system which we should examine, the closer we are to understanding our sickness as a civilization.

  • 4 2 months i was locked as manic depressive( bi-polar dis) with seroquel and lorazepaam on menu against my will of course...

  • @aureez i have been through the same

  • Just because Scientologists are pulling a scam, that doesn't mean that they're not exposing the lies & scams of others.

  • "Anyone who sees a psychiatrist ought to have his head examined."

    --Samuel Goldwyn

  • I completely disagree with this video also. It takes one bad experience that a mental patient had and tries to discredit people with mental illness. It's easy to find some unhappy people and try to make a case for anything.

All this does it minimalizes the people who really need help.

  • I disagree with this video... It may be true for some about the money and stuff but this is just trying to stir crap up where few exist.

  • will you decipher the OnyxCode ---> ₪

  • that is pure torture too. welcome to hell if you want to stay in them awful places. taraj was in one of them idiotic places and all they did was drug her up and drug her up and drug her up, until she couldn't even hold a fuckin spoon to be able to eat!

  • you stupid doctors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how can u do that to innocent children! it's no wonder kids cant learn. my god! go back to kindergarten and stop turning children in to manhouse freaks!

  • Stop eating junk food and swear off soft drinks cold turkey 100%, they are all rotten, and load up on lots of fresh vegetables and lots of vitamins and some protein. I guarantee short of blunt trauma to the head or mental illness caused by genetic defect, most mental illnesses caused by the piss poor diet we have in America will go away

  • I think most mental illness is caused by soft drinks and fucking sugar and caffeine, it like robs everything from your body and your brain and body just can't function any more. That liquid candy shit is poison to the human body in a human can, and its pandered everywhere now with no warning labels at all on them. Back when I binged on softdrinks, I'd go catanotic, chronically fatigued, couldn't concentrate, think, make decisions, or even tie my shoes laces

  • @cobrachoppergirl

Just because you had bad reactions to soda/sugar/caffeine (did it ever occur to you that maybe you have some kind of allergy??), that doesn't mean everyone else does.

Do you actually think everyone was perfectly sane & mentally healthy before the modern age of food & drink like these???

  • ok you IDIOTS before say critics of something you DONT KNOW investigate a little will ya?

the mental illness is caused by alterations in neurotransmitters

    google it...

the press as always playing with others words..... what those doctors said is that what cause those alterations is not know yet, the drugs are for compensate those transmitters alteration

    morons....

  • bet this was backed by the church of scientology

  • I can relate to the girl @ 1:25., about the diagnoses changing

Over the years I had many "labels" and therefore different medications that came along with each new diagnosis, so to speak. Depression is there though, for sure. Ever since about 13 years old.

But the other stuff like OCD, bipolar, schizo-affective disorder were just plain wrong (i.e. guesses)

Most if not all of psychiatry is just guesswork. It's not like trying to bandage a knee or getting a heart transplant or something.

  • This is so over the top and such tabloid journalism.

  • wow, this is extremely one-sided. I can honestly say that my depression has been greatly helped, if not totally cured, through the work my psychiatrist, therapist, and the anti-depressant that I'm on.

  • this issues were on the 2008... any updates...

  • I am i agree that much of psychiatry is a false science. Pills and Drills. But notice that after the first part of this video, the lip sync is off. (people are talking and the sound track does not match the movements of their mouth)

  • That's why they're called The Rapists

  • Now debate the other side where you actually see people recover and let the public weigh up both sides

  • "For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil." Timothy 6:10

  • My brother is an ER doctor and says every phychiatrist he has met is "wacky".

  • @PinkPunkyKat

i know huh? and i heard every phychiatrist SEES a phychiatrist lol. fucking crazy

  • That documentary is rubbish...

  • Did u know Scientology is a global cult/ scam to steal peoples money in exchange for false made up information. They make over $30 million globally a week! Is that estimate true? Who cares.

All these videos are a big pile of bullshit to scare you into buying into Scientology.

  • @Beastman59 At least they don't give you pills.

  • i do believe the prescribing unneeded medicine to be true, cuz i went to a therapist for depression and everything she said made me feel worse, more depressed, and then came the meds.

and ive been diagnosed with ADD but i act the same w/ and w/o my (high dose of)medicine.

i'm just thankful that i've stopped seeing so many doctors. who knows what else i could be diagnosed w/. i feel like that blonde girl at the beginning.

  • Psychiatry isn't bad its just not understood not all places are like this some are worse than others.

    DJMB

  • Boy, I bet you'd stick your head in fire if I told ya you could see Hell. Meanwhile, you're too stupid to realize you got a demon stickin' out your ass singing, "Holy Miss Moley,Got me a live one." - Otis

  • Psychiatry has it's good and bad points just like Scientology!

  • The Psychiatry Nightmare indeed. In the late 50's the CIA had a secret brainwash program code named MKUltra. They paid a Dr Cameron in Montreal to carry it out. He injected LSD mixed with other drugs, Massive electric shocks and weeks of sleep as a brainwash tape played. It was horrific. I am telling my story on You Tube called youkilledyourmother

  • The money machine that this feeds is a huge problem with it in my mind....Do you ever think that they will design a cure for cancer or mental illnesses? If they did, all of the cancer medicine companies and doctors specializing in cancer would go out of business. From the governments standpoint, finding cures is not in the economies best interest and could cause economic collapse, similar to the 200mpg engine would make the oil companies go out of business...follow the money...

  • @linkindinkin What about the money they would make on the actual cure. It would be astronomical. They could easily charge the amount that you would pay on all the medicines they have today, in one hit, and of course people would pay it.

  • @linkindinkin I hope you don't believe that. Any idea how complex cancer is? Any idea how complex an organic mental illness is? Do you really think the gov would rather pay for meds for a mentally ill person instead of having them out there paying taxes? The vast majority of seriously mentally ill people are supported by the gov. You really think the gov wouldn't love a 200 mpg engine. Cheap energy=economy thrives. Chronic illnesses are just a drain on resources for everyone, government included

  • i dont think that psychiatry in itself is bad (though i don't deny the history) but i definitely think that some things need to be changed and modified in the field and there is such a thing as mental illnesses but to point them out and find the cause is the tricky part

  • Sorry, a few more points to make.

Do we deny Cancer exists because there are only treatments and no cure? The effects of psychiatric illness are evident and double blind studies show that some of our treatments are working

Also, why judge a science on it's distant past? "Science" once thought that the world was flat. What we have disproved before has little to do what we do with today. Outside of third world countries do you still see patients chained to walls? No.

  • seriously, is this some scientology movie?

  • 1.1 Million deaths from Psychiatry? Aren't they overexaggerating the numbers?

  • yes

  • if you count more than just the US during world war two millions died because of psychiatry because the Nazis used it as an excuse to kill people deemed mentally ill. Nazis used psychiatry.

  • ahahah this is a joke.

  • I am having a hard time with this series. Are they saying that there is no such thing as mental illness, or that there is no cure for any mental illness? I am taking SSRI's, and know that before being on this medication, I was suicidal, extremely depressed, had never ending racing thoughts, and suffered with Trich. These drugs work for me, and even if these symptoms were not given labels, would they still not be real.

  • Lol scientology propaganda.

Psychiatry and psychology are vital to modern science and medicine. The problem is profit and overprescriptin of drugs.

Also, anyone think these lulzy pieces of shit remind you of those "FEAR TEH GAYS!" things from the 50s?

  • It is true that drugs are over-prescribed, but come on! That is the reason why I chose to become a psychologist rather than a psychiatrist, because I focus on ones ability to manage thier own syptoms without drugs. I personally prefer CBT in most cases. But it's ubsurd to say that there is no such thing as mental illness!

  • psychiatry a cult of the queen midas.

  • SCIENTOLOGY PROPAGANDA

  • Idiot! It is documented facts! That is the history of psychiatry. Scientology doesn't have anything to do with it. True Christians also recognise it for it's evil.

  • So I'm now looking forward to the Scientology pseudo-babble documentary.

  • (2 ... cont)

    - Yes, it's clearly Scientology nonsense that goes way over the top, here and there.

However, on the other hand, 90% of the information has *some* basis in fact.

Big Pharma and the entire medical industry needs to be reigned in ... but don't hold your breath. You must be lobotomised if you believe that's ever going to happen.

  • you just contradicted your self big time wtf

  • - Yes, they are extremely selective in their reportage.

    - Yes, they are taking snippets from extensive quotes from professionals who clearly didn't know the real purpose of the enquiry.

    - Yes they are reporting horrific past practices that all modern psychiatrists have rejected for many years ... cont ...

  • The video comes out cool, right. I think it is very biased and the points mentioned are over the top, because there are undoubtedly people suffering from - let's call it - feeling mentally very bad. The reasons for this bad feelings, I guess, most of the time are based in the circumstances the person is surrounded with at that time. I do think that such a person has to find a) a balance in the brain and b) an ordered life again, and this is where psychology CAN help, psychiatry may not alyways.

  • Cool video

  • Scientology propaganda shit, don't believe this.

  • :O massive :O
