I discovered this by myself when i was trying some strategies on the mine first No merchant(it was possible thanks to your videos by the way ^^) But i didn't knew that you can hit him with a incendiary grenade the second part of the fight, very awesome XD

@Lukmendes Yeah, excluding special weapons, incendiary grenades are the best way with Mendez. I wouldn't had needed to use the handgun if I would had found another grenade. It would had been too easy, and the handgun method is so much fun. BTW, the no-glitch way to knife Mendez' second form involves the same positioning I use with the handgun.

@Lukmendes LOL I was confused and I thought you were commenting a video of my no damage/no merchant run. In that run I use incendiary grenades and handgun for the end of the fight xD

@Amebixfan yeah, this is the no-patched version. However, with all the patches, pc version is by far the best looking of all.

not really, gamecube looks the best. it's the smoothest one (the wii is pretty much the same).

i have, it looks too sharp. the gamecube has sort of a fuzzy, smoother look, probably because of the lower res and whatever filters that might have been used. i would pick that over the PC. The PC version needs some sort of an AA or simple blur effect.

GREAT VIDEO! just now i was looking for some tips and thanks to this video I used my incendiary grenades against the second form, it is harder to evade than the first. Five stars and fav.

lol I can't remember where I got them, but you can take a look at my no merchant/no damage run, in that playthrough I get all the incendiary grenades I can before Mendez. Right now I only remember one in a barrel at the farm, a barrel hidden behind the cab with the typewriter.

If anyone's lacking incendiaries, when he's hanging closest to the ladder, throw a frag so it blows him off his perch and explodes the barrel. Then finish him off with 1 or 2 shotgun shells (maybe more, depends the auto-adjusted difficulty)

daih, theres another easy way, you can climb up the ladder right away and theres a piece of metal/ wood with a crack through it on the right if you're looking towards the exit and you can shoot him through there and then a couple of grenades take him down.

there're four incendiary grenades you can get easily until this point. Ganados gave me the others =P

1) The first one is at the village, in the first house on the left.

2)The second one is in the farm, in a barrel hidden next to a little cabin.

3)The third one is in the church.

4)The fourth one is in the cabin where you have to kill one thousand ganados.

5)You have another one in the place where you fight mendez ^^

But you have to got alot of inciendary(fuck, forgot how to spell that) grenades to kill him, and I don't have a lot of space 'cause I'm very economist in this game:O. however, it's a good, fast, and secure way to kill him.
