  • bun e. rules !! great feel great player , and crazy ambidextrous !!

  • All around great guy

  • Michael Moore, Is That You?

  • mr. carlos !!!

  • I have drummed most of my life and and they are my life. To me Bun E. is the best! To me he is #1 I hope to meet him someday.

  • part of what makes bun e so cool is that he's such an 'average guy'. he's a regular guy playing in a band and yet he plays better than most other extravagant superstar types (like the aforementioned tommy lee, for instance)

  • Bun E. smokes on 'Go For The Throat (Use Your Own Imagination).' One of the greatest rock drums performances. Check it out if you're just getting into Trick.....

  • What a time-keeper!!

  • I met Cheap Trick in Ann Arbor Fall 1978 at a bar they walked into after performing at U of M...true gentleman, bought us burgers ands beers and gave us a bit of swag...a true class act...

  • Just saw Cheap Trick but Bun was not playing. I hope he is ok.

  • @Bellyflops2 He is breaking from Cheap Trick for awhile and is only performing part time.

  • i just met him today at sse music in lacrosse wisconsin i got picture he is a very nice guy and a great drummer

  • bun e carlos what a great guy always so nice bun you rock

  • He seems like the coolest guy out of all the Cheap Trick guys! :) The least "cutup type" that is. :)

  • He is one of the only guys I have seen who seems to play equally well either left hand or right hand setup. I thought it was camera work at first.

  • Next to Ringo Starr my second favourite drummer Mr.Bun E. Carlos

  • How come Bun doesn't act like the typical rock star who thinks they are holier than thou? Very refreshing.

  • Greatest drummer ever? I think so. Watched him play at shoreline the other day. amazing drummer.

  • @Brian7490 i wouldnt say that. you have john bonham, alex van halen, heaps of other s.

  • Met and worked with Bun E in 1992. Amazing guy! Great Guy! Was a pleasure to work with him. I liked Cheap Trick before working with them, I loved them after working with them. They are the real deal.

  • Bun is so cool. He goes through roadies so fast he numbers them, doesn't call them by name! I don't remember which number Anthony Castiglioni (spelling? sorry Ant) was, but he got to go to Austrailia with them many years ago. I was 'Vern Pittenger' (one of Bun's garage bands for fun only) for two gigs before I moved to Carbondale in 1993. Hope to see Brad and play some more bumper pool someday!

  • man! cheap trick just amazes me. so humble not like other bands... nice

  • Bun E. Carlos is 1 of the BEST drummers EVER.

  • No ego, no gimmick required...one cool fuckin dude...cheers bun e

  • Bun E is looking better than ever. Cool dude!

  • My hero. One of my biggest drumming influences.

  • seems like a cool guy.

  • Bun E. puts on a fantastic drum clinic...it's a total history of Rock n' Roll. Do not miss it if you get the chance.

  • Bun E. is frighteningly humble. How is that possible?

  • @mse1576 most likely he's remembering where his roots lay.

  • Bun E. has a unique, very distinct sound.

    Great under rated drummer!

  • @antoniosoul He smoked cigarettes, when he plays! Now, he is not allowed to inside arenas. NO FUMAR Mr. Carlos.

  • Awesome interview, world class drummer. He actually wrote all the drum parts for Poison's "Open Up and Say...AHH" album. Classy, articulate and down to earth, great job.

  • a great interview, a truthful interview. brad carlson (aka bun e carlos) when home would come out to the prairie moon saloon in machesney park, illinois and sit in with Car Trouble-rick pemberton guitar, rick szeluga bass, pat o'brien drums, bradley hamlet vocals. if you are "in the know" you already know this.

  • Wow! Bun is lookin Buff!

  • What a GREAT interview, with Mr. Bun E. Carlos! Well done!

Bun E. totally spelled it out regarding "longevity" and making it in the music business: It has to be a "total" and dedicated team effort! You have to have the desire and drive to do it. And be willing to put your head "on the block!", and lastly give each other some space.

Great advice from Mr. Carlos aka KING OF THE THUNDER DRUMS!!

    LONG LIVE ROCK!!

  • Thanks for the share, I'm so glad to see Youtube is keeping these bands alive

  • I've had the pleasure to meet Bun E. twice and he is a great, down-to=earth guy. Very, very nice and he thanks you after he signs an autograph. They are ALL great guys and they flippin' rock!

  • Man, what a great guy! He is one of my absolute faves and I still use licks I stole from him listening to the first four or five CT records(back when they were still called records!)

  • i love ct songs.you are great drummer.

  • all around great guy indeed. Thanks for sharing this. First interview Ive seen also of Bun. Down to earth guy...and one of my fave drummers.

  • Wow, I've been a huge fan of theirs (especially of Bun's) since In Color, and this is the very first interview I've seen with just him. Thanks for posting it. He sounds like a great down-to-earth guy with lots of great stories to share. That being said, I sure wish this interviewer would have tapped in to some of that.
