@Opalance I see a weak mental game too. Once Silbereisen started to gain moment then she was swinging with way too much confidence for Ai. Table tennis tests good nerves and mentality more than any sport.

@kaalthai She uses medium pips on the backhand, so actually it's less spin, alternating between flat dead hits and slight topspin.

"Meanwhile, for Ai Fukuhara, life just goes from bad to worse; the child prodigy is suffering.

In 2009 she has yet to win a singles duel on the ITTF Pro Tour and she is in free fall on the ITTF Womens World Rankings; in March 2008 she stood at a career high of no.9, in March 2009 she is at no.27."
