I think I'll replay this, haven't played it for 15 years, and it seems like it's better than any of the big console games; I do not like Beat 'em Ups or Fighting games.

Isn't there bonus areas around in this game? Like in this first level, there is one when you crouch near those metal barrels somewhere between 1:26 and 1:43. There also like 2 or 3 other minigames if i recall correctly...

I know. A little bit off topic here, but at the end of the first two TMNT movies, they never really killed Shredder themselves. In the first one Splinter killed him, and in the second on, Shredder killed himself when he was Super Shredder. So your right, they just never killed him even if he's only 10 feet in front of them!
