Hi Nacoran. I'm sure I know your name from the Adam Gussow forum (I'm Wheezer on that site). That's where I found Issacullah and he is the guy I turn to when I have to do anything with a mic. He is a really good guy and very helpful. Since the video I have changed the 3.5 socket for a 6.3 (one less connection) and found tha tby packing the cannister void below the element you can change the bass response of the mic. Regards, Pete
Did you get your components in the UK or online from international sources? If you have the time, please could you let me know where you got your
(1) element and (2) impedance converter? I think Maplins to the jack socket and 3.5-6.3 converter but if you also recall the sources for those that'd be much appreciated.

from Semiconductor Supplies Int. and their part no. is also 173.082. You should be able to find Semiconductor online but if not their 'phone no. is 0208 643 1126.

Sorry about the cock up last time.
The element came from Maplin, Mic Insert DM-13.
The vol. pot. is a 1k Lin also from Maplin.
The jack to jack impedence transformer is a

If you can't get the jack to jack transformer
you can use an XLR to jack item (Maplin have these) but you would have to use a Jack to XLR balanced cable for this application.
One other point of interest is that I have found that you can alter the bass response of this set up by filling the lower void of the cannister
with wadding. The more wadding the less bass is my experience.
I now use this mic. all the time for my 30w. amp but prefer the AKG-D130 for the HB GA5
