That's a reasonable thing to do.... donating your eyes to the one you love (I assume) when you know you're going to die. Unlike stairway to heaven, donating your eyes to the one you love by killing yourself even though you're in perfect health (I assume) and you know she may die even if you give her your eyes, but doing it so she may see the one she loves before she dies. Then again, you get her in the afterlife as a bonus. =P

The girl has sight problem i'm guessing one of those disease where cornea gets eaten by the virus which causes blindness or something. I believe the guy gave his eyes to the girl so she could live normally while he dies from the incurable disease of his. (note: leukemia can be cured but his state was too far worse than those who were more fortunate than him)
