Joe DOES have a Les Paul named after him. Has for a while. Means nothing but it's true. They both are great. Sit back and enjoy instead of comparing please.
Hahhahaha some of the losers making comments here actually think they are "putting down" Joe B (or Johnny A), but none of the rest of us here are surprised in the least that YOU the critics aren't in the video. Shockingly, neither Joe B or Johnny A would invite you pathetic wankers onstage in a million years. And besides, that would mean you'd have to learn how to play an instrument or something wild like THAT. Hahhahaha... you silly, silly, silly wankers. Pathetic.
There are 20 kids that hang around Guitar Center that could play better than Bonamassa. Like someone said he is promoted like Justin Beiber but he wouldn't know an inter-chordal melody if it bit him in the ass. Wait until he gets a Gibson guitar named after him and then you can start to compare.
For Pete's Sake! (or Johnny or Joe), Some never grew out of the opinion formed in middle school that trash music not "cool" because that's what it's all about. Some of the insults are just typical negative wanna bes who are just mean and of course musically stupid and/or arrogant. I've never heard anything other than those guys have great respect for each other, and get along great and why shouldn't they? They play for love of music, not just the money and the other trappings.
Duel ...what duel That was like bringing a knife to a gun fight. That Joe guy can't even compare to some local jammers, let alone a legend like Johnny A. WTF is he doing on the same stage.
@tikitrom What are you – deaf? Joe Bonamassa's the best electric blues guitarist on the planet. Johnny A is great but a blues jammer he's not. Luckily, he only had 51 seconds in order not to get embarrassed.
@tikitrom haha i guess thats why Johnny A hasn't sold half as many albums as Joe, whilst Joe is nearly half his age and much more popular and successfull.
I like both of them, but Joe Bonamassa is by far greater
@gibsonlespaul1320 Well said! and by that very same logic I think it's fair to say that Justin Bieber is far more talanted than Joe Bonamassa due to his young age and huge sales.......duh!
@IamAshleyWright except you can't cut and paste the logic from one artist to another. You have to take into account the varying popularity of the different genres of blues-rock and pop (or whatever). Since the latter is more popular across the world, then obviously an artist in that genre will make it further and easier than one in the blues rock genre. I said it for Joe Bonamassa and Johnny A because their genres are very interrelated.
@gibsonlespaul1320 To a point I agree, however Joe Bonamassa and Johnny A are not very similar. Bonamassa has been pushed to huge audiences since a very young age and has to some extent embraced the pop culture of worldwide touring, constant interviews in the press and plays far more popular blues/rock stuff. Not like Johnny A, who has a much smaller following because of his intraspectictive musical style. The point is huge album sales really have nothing to do with talent in any genre.
@tikitrom I'm not sure you were listening to the same video... Joe is a far better guitarist. Not to knock Johnny A., he's awesome! But Joe shredded him here.
