  • "Hard to Handle" was not written by the Black Crowes .. it is a 1968 song originally recorded by Otis Redding and written by Redding, Al Bell and Allen Jones.

  • PUT SOME PANTS ON LOL JK

  • At last, a video involving a bass player and you can actually HEAR the bass.

  • wrong octave on the intro and not the right bass line in the verse

  • @juker606 thanks.. the intro is in B.. it's that simple.. you might be right aboutt the verse.. I play it differently, live.. each time. I there's Fsharp octaves..

  • kewl, your version is not as techical as others, extremly helpful and encourageing, thanks 4 po9sting

  • @spritquest35m LOL, thanks.. that might be a bad thing.

  • It's older than the black crows it might be older than the grateful dead version? but i guess there good song writers thanks for the jam

  • i play this song a lot differently

  • I get that a lot.. how so? and I am interested.. I play it differently also.. live.. I just do what I think I should.. always in B, though..

  • @alexmishchuk me too.. each time I play it

  • Rock on mate. I am a big fan of Otis Redding. I also own a Jazz bass but from 1977. Cheers

  • Yes, it was originally an Otis Redding song which was slower with a more funky bass line. The Black Crowes cover is great too but with a more rock feel. To be fair the Black Crowes have written some really good originals.

  • sounds good, but pretty sure the song was written by Otis Redding

  • Hey dude, nice playing but you really do need to work on using more fingers to fret the notes. Makes thing easier, and it'll add to the over all comfort of playing...Also, next time get dressed before you press record, eh? :P

  • yes.. thanks for the comments.. I generally play inefficiently.. I would post more vids with more fingers (besides outfits), but my vids keep getting taken down..

  • u're forcing your shifts...make them flow smoothly

  • where? from f# to a to b?

  • no just your shifts in general...try using your index and pinky fingers more...see if that helps you

  • i'm not hatin on your skills man, just tryin to help u out that's all

  • i welcome the help and comments. Thank you.
