Very nice song,but impossible to say its better than the original, mukesh voice and rythm is far much better than lata, mukesh brings that melancholic and that sadness to its deepest level with his voice and rythm and internal emotion, listen to both again, and it will not take much time to share the same opinion.

some years back, during my stay abroad, I used to listen to this song. Its so sad, melodious and beautifully sung by Lata that it always touches my heart. It is much better than the original song ,sung by Mukesh.

@SuperA707 lata is amazing she always sings more emotionally than any other. did you know there is an amazing collection of mukehs songs by vandana bajpai. they are sad songs sung with the most emotion i have ever heard. songs like zubaan pe dard bhari dastaan chali ayee. she sings far far better than even mukesh, i am trying to get this album again as i lost it.
