@vakkachan1 "Kuyavane" means potter" the one who works with clay & makes pots? Just in case if you did not get your answer so far...:-) These classical songs are often mistaken for the terms. What I mean is these terms do not exist anymore & you most likely will not find it in any present or modern literatures. These terms came from a golden period which bridges sanskrit & tamil. The actual alphabets looks more like sanskrits but they are actually tamil. The present day tamil is more simplified.

Hi indianheart144, I appreciate your zeal but please note குயவனே and காரணனே. are perfectly acceptable in Poetical Tamil grammar in Vocative case (calling upon). It is similar to THEVANE in Psalms 3:7, 4:1, 5:2 .. etc. in Tamil Bible, calling God in vocative case. Our Lord is so near to us (Duet 4:7) that I like the style குயவனே and காரணனே in songs- God bless you, the singer, composer, musicians and all those who contributed in this song.
