  • The Builders Said "Not Even God could sink it"

    They spoke like Foolish men!!

  • Written by the wonderful Pete Seeger and performed ever so true to its origins and raison d'etre by Sissy Spacek who demonstrated in this movie she is more than an excellent actress. Sghe also can SING and sing WELL! That was one deserved Oscar!

  • wow can Sissy Spacek sing...what a folk tune.! very emotional. a great work.and I Love Sissy Spacek

  • I am tired of people that have to use language for such stupid comments. There are people that are Christians and older people on here so if you feel you must make offensive and disrespectable comments, please go to another song that may be more adaptive to that kind of language.

  • What's up with all you fucking retards writing with all caps?

  • This song is sung by Sissy Spacek who played Loretta Lynn in the Movie: Coal Minor's Daughter. This is off the soundtrack. Sissy and Loretta are not dead. Very rude!

  • My Daddy sang this to us kids. Been looking for this since then. Heard part of it on the movie, it made me cry. This is sung by the actress who portrayed Loretta. The same girl who was "Carrie". Very versatile woman...

  • @yarberamanda Do you mean "In the Pines/Where Did You Sleep Last Night" which Nirvana later covered..No, if you find in mp3 format. consider yourself lucky, Ive been looking for a full length version of her singingthat for YEARS, and I come up empty..I doubt it exists, being that she only sang like 15 seconds of it in the film
