Man, just imagine if they had a bigger budget and they put it up on the big screen! I think it had (still does) have potential to be one of the bigger blockbusters of all time. Probably even surpassing Walk The Line and Ray.

He looks more like Joaquin Phoenix than Elvis. I suppose Colin Farrell will try it next. The best Elvis was the American actor, Michael St. Gerard. And he certainly does not look like Henry VIII !!!
Rhys Meyers was trying way too hard, and failed. The cast itself was dubious, too.
But then: there was only one Elvis, just like there was only one Marilyn, one Marlon, one of all the really big names. They weren't iconic because they were easy to capture. They were iconic because they looked easy to emulate, but in reality nobody ever gets close.

elvis hated the Beatles? i remember listening to one of the shows in the 68' Comeback Special, he mentioned about all the new music and that he like the new groups like the Beatles...never heard of that before...and also Elvis met with the Beatles in 65' and they jammed together..
well i watch the movie recently and gotta say its not bad i mean i learnt alot about elvis threw the movie.but the movie failed to explain why he hated the beatles alot
Huh, I thought he did, but still he did a really good job of pulling the looks off, I think. lol But oh well, it doesn't really get much better than the original King himself. :-D
